The Thetacron mines should be adjusted. 2500dmg is a joke. It should scale to the ship thats hitting you like the Twin Gemini Cannons.

+1 fully agree with this. that isn't even enough to blast through my shields unbuffed, and ive only got two shields equipped (totalling ~550)

Meh. If this is so then omicrons should be done away with. But anyway +1.

you do know how Thetacrons are produced right? doing away with Omicrons would be oximoronic. "Let's upgrade something and then we'll remove the very artifact that we use to create said upgraded item" *not sure why I pictured goofy saying something so stupid* >.>

I was talking about the arti improvement, not the arti itself.

omicrons are much more common than thetacrons and I've only ever seen one person on my bt use a thetacron. What does that tell you?
Omicrons, being the more common, should have it's damaged fixed much more than the thetacron.

omicrons are to tell people you have traps but thetracons at low v are ok maybe there should be another mission that takes 50% of the oponents hull

-1 to them being changed, especially the outlandish idea of 50% of your hull.

The traps are fine as they are.

Omicron's can cause a great threat to anyone under 4k max hull, which covers most of those below rank 150, due to your repair cap being at under 400, hitting a trap just as you hit the repair threshold will disable you.

At levels 200+ theta's can be extremely harmful, especially to those with under 25k hull, because your repair threshold is at 2500, at which time hitting a thetacron mine can cause your ship to become disabled.

At higher rank theta's aren't as damaging(but people still use them), factor in the T-Plasma Gemini Cannons which now come into play, wherein, each attack you make on a player can cause you to lose 10% of your entire shield + hull, which again can cause your ship to become disabled, only at these ranks that self-disable can occur "well" before you even hit your hull threshold.

I myself have managed to trigger this effect 8 times against one person before, causing me over 80k damage. The only reason i don't self-disable against any of these traps ever, is because i make sure to restore my shields or hull, if i notice them getting dangerously low.

As it stands now, every tier of attackers has an appropriate trap/effect mechanism that is able to work against them. I don't see why we should add in yet another defensive trap, just because people "think" that certain traps are underpowered. Especially when there are so many more defensive artifacts/modules coming out compared to beneficial attack/pvp modules.

Not everyone is over rank 1K Kirk. I'm talking about the rank 600's to 1K there is a Lull in there that needs to be filled. Sounds like you dont want an additional trouble to your food range. a 50% drop in hull would be too much, and i would be against that too. but maybe a (insert name here) bomb that drops defenses tby 15%-30% could work just as effectively too. Nothing your not already used to with some of the NPC's. KVT's drop your attack to almost nothing, and take 15 minutes to wear off, unless a Null is used. I see no trouble with a defense nuker too.
