A module you can buy with red badges and use to upgrade dominion cannons. Example: a mark 1 would become a mark 2, or a mark 2 would become a mark 3. i think it should cost around 50 red badges. |

I'd suggest 75% of the badge cost for the next level, unless you limit it to 1 upgrade per module, as it's 240 badges if you get all 3 levels, your suggestion means only 140(including mk1 purchase cost) from mk1 to mk3 good suggestion though, it stops the previous badges from being essentially lost when the module is scrapped. |

its already there.. its just called THINKING. dont waste your badges after you get your first mk1.. save them and buy the mk3's and then save for the upgrade. |

that IS a good reason.. because this entire game is based off of THINKING AHEAD.. its the exact same reason you dont install bad modules on ship and colonize crap planets. its because you make a concious choice to SAVE for the better mods. |

tell me what exactly your module does that ISNT already a basic game function of(or considered THINKING...) you want a module/arti that allows you to 'upgrade' your already purchased MK1 DC.... ITS ALREADY THERE, its called. MK2!!!! and then MK3!! why should you not have to pay the same red badge cost that EVERYONE ELSE HAS ALREADY.... dont wanna do the work.. I worked hard for my reds, and im going to do it again now that there's an upgrade available.... Am I going to complain about it.. NOPE, thats how dan wants you to get it, DO PVP, get the rewards.. You dont wanna PvP, NO REWARDS.. its simple. |

I would prefer to have the option to scrap old cannons for 50% of the original cost in red badges. Personally I was working on mark 1 before 2 and 3 were released, and went straight to 3s after. So spending badges to upgrade to a 2 first feels pointless. If you offer a refund for scrapping the cannon, people aren't pigeonholed into a certain path |

Icarium81, maybe if you took the time to articulate your objections in more concise and constructed manner, people wouldn't have to guess what you mean, simply saying "Plan ahead, DUH!" is not constructive or useful to anyone. Also, you may find that using a less agressive tone means people respond to you better. I have been lurking on this forum for a while now and I have seen you shoot down ideas simply because you 'didn't think Dan should be working on it', the entire point of posting ideas is to see what people think and for them to offer their own opinions/changes. If you come across something you don't like, maybe, instead of acting like you have in this thread you should simply '-1' it and move on. On topic... Personally, I don't think upgrades per level is needed, but I do like Follyuu's idea of being able to scrap old cannons for 50% of the original cost. |

I honestly dont care if you like the way I shoot down ideas. Ive spent time reading the suggestions and have a good idea of whats been suggested before, so if someone is constantly posting 'repeat' ideas, ill shoot it down. just like numerous other people do. |

no to OP for 2 reasons: 1. I don't like additions to the game that will cause a fairly significant advantage for a large group of ppl over another large group of ppl with no effort or cost to the benficted. I believe the effort to farm red badges for the doms a fairly significant effort thus saving on that of any kind being such an advantage. and i believe the population of ppl who already have dom 3 and ppl who dont are both large groups. 2. I like my games to have choices, each choice with pros and cons of its own. the dom tiers is such a choice, get the lower doms means you are more powerful early, but sets u back for mk3. and skipping 2s and maybe some 1s will make your life harder for a while but likely get mk3 with a smaller overall cost. there is a choice, there is benefict and cost to each, that's good. I dont want the game to be changed in any way that makes it "hold your hand" as you play it. objection #2 is resolved if only partial refund is given to old dom OR if upgrade is fairly expensive to the same effect. but there is still O1 so overall, -1 |
