I think the alert rules should be modified. Currently we cannot alert a second player for a 12 hour period.

I think a modificaion should be made for alerts within the same legion on players who attack all at once.

The lack of current ability to alert the attacking players puts the attacked player and a huge disadvantage.

The rules should be that make sense. If a legion is attacking a player in another legion and there are several of those players attacking; the attacked player should be able to alert ALL of those players to his legion for defense. The current system allows for too much advantage on the attacking legion players to allow for gang banging players.

Two things could or should remedy this type of action.

First, it is usually one legion against another; so there should be a tab for "Legion Wars" making each legion total fair and open game to the other; instead of only being able to alert one player at a time when being attacked by 4,6,7 or more without the ability to respond in kind from a coordinated attack.

There should be an additional option tab; it says "Declare War on XXXXX Legion" by a leader or officer; which would allow full combat mode for any and all players in the legions.

This will have two fold effect. First, opens up the entire legion to consequences of a rogue player or two; and second will keep checks and balances of legions who have players who don't want a lot of combat. They would need to transfer to another legion if one is very aggressive and others who are in a passive legion may need to look for a more aggressive legion.

The details can be worked out to qualifcations for legion combat status by input from others. However this should be an addition to this type of game.

Zero, One on one is a fair fight; one you lose too often; 5,6 or more on one is not a fair fight.... let's bring all the firepower to the table.

You know what else isnt a fair fight eggy... someone over 200 ranks higher then yah, so quit complaining its called war and i take my whoopin like a man and dont complain on the forums about it.

I don't know which ship that has engaged in the NI-CN conflict that has not been alerted at least once... I think the problem you are experiencing isn't one of game limitations but rather of your own personal shortcomings... this often happens when you can't understand normal thinking. :mrgreen:

Legion war option would be sweet set a specific legion, maybe even a time limit, makes enemy legion spawn more often in your bt yada yada.

Yeah yeah, Mr Rolly Eyes, but we still don't have it, and we don't even know if it's a priority for Dan. Cripes, this is light-years ahead of the trading hub as a priority in my view: trading works fine today, wars don't.

war pact doesnt exactly work though. thats assuming both sides want the war. and no you shouldnt be able to alert everyone attacking you. if you did something to get alerted.... well you're gonna have to deal with it. This aint farmville. If you steal a planet or something you're gonna have to deal with anyone and everyone in that legion beating up on you for as long as they can alert you.

For a while in the beginning you could alert anyone.
Guess what: Dan changed it.

So do you guys really think he'll change it back?

If a player is going after red badges and yellow badges hits a player that doesn't like it and they retaliate; the attacking player now has the ability to alert that player who was originally attacked to his entire legion.

Some of you are assuming that the player being attacked is the only aggressor by stealing a planet or some other type of action.

The current alerting system does not allow for an equal type ability to respond.

It is a one sided response.

I am not asking for LESS ability to fight; I am asking for more ability to fight those who want to go at it.

Yes, there are legions who want to fight each other; there are those who don't.

That was why I had the suggestion for "legion wars" tab by an officer or leader of a legion. We want only certain people doing certain things with the legion.

Let's even look at the mutual aspect of each side wanting to fight -- If one side "declares war" on the other; have an "accept legion war" by the other side.

The simple solution here is that those two legions then only have the other legion on their BT; this would make it an overall minimal change for Dan to make; yes, we would be limited to only 10 on the other side, unless Dan would expand the player participation on the BT screens.

A solution for those who do not want to participate is also have a participation button in the player profile that says "participate in wars" if clicked; they are put into the mix; however this button cannot be changed except once you are in; you have to stay in for a minimal of one week and if you "opt out of the wars" you cannot participate again for another week like the base attacks if you change legions or leave for a short time to help out another legion. This will discourage players from getting in; finding out they get hit a lot and "don't want to ruin their stats" and run away; then come back to hit a few times and leave and use the "opt out" as a protection against their aggression.

No need for Dan to add a feature that can easily be worked around already.
