I've noticed that the vast majority of player names are names for a person, rather than a vessel.

What if you could christen your ship?

It'd just be something that'd show up in your profile, but it's always seemed a little odd to me that we're all flying around in unnamed ships.

Some possible ways it could work:

You could pick a unique name like your username - ie, if you make 'The SomeNamefromStarWars,' it's the only one in the universe.

Or perhaps, it could just be whatever you want. If there's 50,000 Millennium Falcons, so be it. This saves the trouble of seeing 'The SomeNamefromStarWars289030250"

There could be limits to how often you could rename your ship (once every two week, perhaps), or perhaps a GP item to do so. Maybe there could be a little flag you could flip in your settings to display people on your tab either by player name or ship name. It'd be kind of cool to see something like 'The Doomwrecker' on your tab instead of just dumb ol' Darth Flagitious. ;) *hides*

I just assumed that the pilot should be put in place of the ship name.

But point taken. I would name my ship the Shadeslayer (points for reference)

+1 to having both.

I kinda like the idea of having a ship name, but I don't envy Dan the task of going through the entire list of players and changing HMS Muffdiver to ShipChange01234.

It would be nice to give your ship a proper name. No captain would ever dare sail without naming the ship. Would put a hex on the whole voyage.

I would almost be tempted to name my ship the dirptanic just for the laughs. Still would be rather nice to name your ship something.
