Love the medal idea!! But the rewards?? So, we are supposed to work for more than a month in some instances and then pay it away at exorbitant rates for half cooked prices?
I say this deserves a more considerate look to either better the rewards or lower the costs or even both, after all most players are still at the medal gathering phase.

Ditto, but what about the rewards on offer for those hard earned medal points? the below is one example for what's currently on offer in the Battle Market:

Dominion Auto-Blaster Upgrade
Upgrades a Dominion Cannon - Mark III on your ship
to a Dominion Auto-Blaster, increasing its attack
by 40 without increasing its size.
Requires: 550 Medal Points Earned

I think exchanging 550 of medal points for a 40 point increase in attack is ridiculous, and so on for the other upgrades for medal points on offer in the Battle Market which are even weaker.

You are not spending the medal points, it is an unlock threshold. You need to have earned 550 medal points before you can spend your badges on them, but you don't use the medal points up.

Perhaps starting with purchase items first is causing confusion, there was the hint that there would be other unlockables coming, like new mission chains.

I agree with everybody here. I think the Mega coil repulser is a decent reward because of the NPC defense bonus, but getting 550 medal points for it? Half the medals need GP to be had, and that's much too pricey for poor me to afford. I think we need more medals in general, and the price for these battle items should also be reduced...or improved dramatically.

I have 640 medal points (without even trying) and the only ones I have that took GP are the 15 points from the Dyson medal and 10 points from the FATHER medal, leaving me with 615 FREE medal points. So far, the most you need to unlock anything is 600, so it can be done quite easily without spending GP.
