To be able to incorporate new ideas into the CTLab without it being a huge pain to achieve it I was suggesting of CTLab levels. Each level lowers the cost and rarity to a certain extent so players can make more discoveries. A higher CTLab level means more artifact blueprints your legion has. It would cost RP that's donated to CTLab upgrades, that doesn't include RP spent for finding achievements. It also increases the value and upkeep of the CTLab. With each new level 5 new discoveries can be made. Here are the RP requirement per level: (NOT ACCUMULATED RP)

Level 1 - No RP Required
Level 2 - 10M RP required
Level 3 - 20M RP required
Level 4 - 30M RP required
Level 5 - 40M RP required
Level 6 - 50M RP required
Level 7 - 60M RP required

What do you think?

Needs to have way more cost in RP to level up, a few people could easily pull 5M and not even be that high of a level, have tried a bit for a discovery and would say you would spend more trying to find a few of them then going up levels. Would start it off needing way more as the Lab is for higher players that have already got most or all of their research done. Perhaps start lv 2 at 25M or more and go from there unless you were to have it have less discoveries per level in which case you would have more levels then maybe 10M would be better for lv 2.

At around lv 200 a person can finish 1M research in around a week, and I assume that there are ones out there that pull in even more per week. (Haven't looked at the math but its close enough)

Overall it is an interesting idea, as long as more discoveries were added as well.

So at level 1 you can make 10 discoveries, at level 2 20 discoveries, and so on until at level 7 you can make 70 discoveries. Correct? Only one problem. There's only 18 discoveries. And no expectations of any significant increase in that number.

Most of which are sucky or ridiculous. We're already in the situation where nearly ALL common artifacts are being used for recipes. Some more than once. You can't have an NPC exclusive artifact used in the Lab because some rank ranges can't even get those artifacts. Anyone over 1000 is incredibly lucky to get a Crimson Amplifier from a Flamehawk, for example. Out of all the recipes suggested in the last year, only a handful were worthy of even a second look, let alone addition to the game. The original set of recipes was either 12 or 14. So from the rollout until now, only 4-6 new recipes have been added. None of which came from suggestions unless you count the Concord as "something to use Halcyons for." At the rate of 5 per year, we'll have 70 lab recipes sometime in 2022.

I dont mind the lab changing, But to restrict wht you can do with it based on rank of base wouls be LAME and just no. It's a pain to unlock the lab and a pain to make the stuff you get. Don't restrict the lab based on rank of base. all so ranking bases are a pain.
Any why stop at rank 7 why nor rank 9? Just saying adding to lab is grate. restricting it to top legions not cool.

Correction - 30 recipes. I changed the idea based on user input. And a level 1 ctlab is the default ctlab with the original 18 discoveries

And if the GL team put enough effort into it, the 30 extra ctlab ideas and the ctlab upgrade can be completed anywhere from 1 - 3 months. The rate at which new ideas have been added has nothing to do with how fast the GL team can make 'em. They're not focusing on new ctlab ideas.
