my idea is in the theory lab
is their anyway to put the quantity you have in your cargo on the side of the artifact needed for the creation of a module like wrinting you need : 50(25) it what you got in gargo something like that?

This would be really useful, especially at higher ranks where you have to scroll through pages and pages of artifacts to find the right ones.
Also it I imagine would be really easy to code, the information is already there, just displayed in the artifact tab. I doubt it would be hard to duplicate it in the theory lab.

It would be nice, but one problem I can see with this (and have pointed it out before) is that it would cause lag in the system. Currently, the server only has to look up your inventory for 4 items (3 artifacts plus energy available) and only when you click a recipe. With this proposal, the server would have to look up ALL the usable artifacts in your inventory when you open the CT Lab and every time you click a recipe it would have to refresh that information for everything.

I've said it before, and I'll say it here. Eliminate the potential for lag and I'm all for something like this. If it can still possibly create lag, I don't want it. I have tons of artifacts and a full CT lab and I don't have any problems as it stands.

we already get a

"You do not have enough of the following artifacts: (Ion Storm Charge, Ion Repulsor Charge)" (thats for a thermionic intensifier) when trying to build a ct lab item without enough of the artefacts.

instead of showing the quantity of artefacts as suggested, have it changed so it says either how many are currently in your cargo -
"You do not have enough of the artefacts. Currently in cargo: (Ion Storm Charge(13), Ion Repulsor Charge(45))"

or just how many are needed
"You do not have enough of the artefacts. Artefacts needed: (Ion Storm Charge (37), Ion Repulsor Charge(5))"

This is probably a better system as like Darth pointed out it would not create any lag.

Don't want to necro an old thread but I suggested this a long time ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I still like the idea!

But apparently no one else did!!!!!!!!!!

So sadly it gona get tossed under the rug.


But A+ for effort I still love this idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it would be nice if in the game it would light up green if you have enough items to make and red if not!!!!!

HAHA I think I just wee'd myself!

Aaaaaanyway, surely the lag cannot be as bad as scanning for planets. I am beginning to hate blitzing, regardless of how necessary it is.

Perhaps there is a different way the same can be achieved, a way of cutting the list down, or displaying it in a different place. For example, how about being able to hover over an artifact to see the CTL recipies that you can actually afford with it. This coupled with ordering the artifact list on amount should make it easy to see everything.

Not the best idea, but I do see the original suggestion as useful, and Im trying to find a better way round it
