Enemies are able to use probes to view attack/defense stats, why not legion-mates?
While there are several stats that would be very useful for people on your side to know (hull shield scan cloak etc.). The attack and defense stats are easily obtainable by enemies and inaccessible in game by the people that could possibly provide advice if they were aware there was a problem.

I've kinda wanted the same thing, but I think the idea is that if you want to know, you can just ask them. That being said I'm sure most of us know of a player or two who doesn't check comms like they should or you suspect may be making an exaggeration, so I would like to at the very least see strength of legion ships. We can see avg strength, so we know strength is already being tracked.

Just to clarify what i am asking for. Transparency in how good/bad your ship is when viewed by people who are meant to be on your side.
At the very least the stats available to your enemies should be visible to your allies. Preferably the people in your legion can get enough information so that help can be given when players are clueless about what mistakes they are making. Often these people with no comparison available to themselves believe they are doing well right up until the point where they are so outclassed by people their rank that they continuously get their ships ripped apart.
The more information available to legions the more help they are able to give each other.

Or, you could simply ask them...

Not to hard to see if your ship is better then others, if you don't get disabled often and when you do its by people way above you and you can disable others close to or above your rank you know you are doing pretty good.

Actually a lot of clueless players live in denial for quite a while. To make up for their ships overall weakness they spend more energy to compensate, often they assume this amount of 'effort' they use to achieve tasks is normal. Blue as you know both the legions your at war with at the moment have quite a few very extreme examples. Neither legion to my knowledge has a full understanding of just how weak some of their legion mates are.
In reality they could just continue living cluelessly and spending increasing amounts of energy to npc and pvp (compared to others their rank) but legions are about helping each other. Without knowledge often these problems can go on completely unnoticed by others while the noobs suffer.

U can't force people to change their ships how u want them, some people just play coz they like the game not coz they wanna be great at it, with the best ship. And i'm sure there are people who are aware that their ship isn't great but they don't care coz it's just a game and they are having fun. Being a leader i understand what your saying but u got to look at it from my point of view too. My legion (The Order Of The Phoenix) isn't the greatest legion, but we are working our way to the top 100 on both leaderboards (#116 for rank, and #97 for strength), and we are having fun, there are some people in my legion who i have asked to change this or that on their ship but they won't coz they don't care and they are having fun.

look at their weapons or just ask them
Semi-support, makes it more convenient though.

Semi-support, makes it more convenient though. Aside from being very complex adding up all modules it also only tells you their minimum stats. I know there are quite a number of people that would be embarrassed for their legions to know their ship strength, but if the legions don't know there is a problem then it is unlikely to get fixed. While a full set of stats would be very useful to the legions what i am asking for and suggesting is the attack/defense stats that are easily visible to enemies but as yet are not visible to allies.
