im pretty sure other people wil find this annoying to
my last scan run went up to 600 and im getting only 5 purgers a day (grrr takes ages to purge down to a 100)

what about a new ct lab artifact with some pros and cons

example

(noname)

50 star chart purgers
10 krionus virus traps
1 energy cube

You would create a controllable virus deleting planets from your database more efficient

deletes 75 planets at random

with an artifact you make there should not be a con with it since you have to collect the arties and E to make it in the first place!

i like the idea, gives you a reason to attempt those planet thefts before a random purging, OR you purge them manually..
I tend to get rid of ALL crap enemy planets, just so they arent cluttering my scans, then work on the unoccupied.
Yeah i know, bad odds if i get hacked, but thats the way i play.
Anything that speeds up purging is a good thing.
at the very least, there should be a 'purge current page' of planets.. you need ten purgers to use it, and you just click YES i want to purge. done.

Or we could just select which planets we want purged and group purge them. if you don't have enough purgers, the last things added to your selection wont be purged.

the main idea is to speed it up , the con is that by speeding it up you could end up with some of sparse small planets , but you will be able to do your scan run alot sooner giving you the chance to turn some good scanned planets into great planets

this would be really nice. I have a quite a lot of planets I still need to get rid of (95 planets)...and none of them are good, so I wouldn't mind getting rid of them

If you need purgers that much, then at rank 115, you unlock the "Stellar Cartography" mission. which allows you to produce purgers.

I would like a select box to mass purge planets, but it's been suggested so many times that I doubt it'll be implimented.

It's not meant to speed things up. It helps supplement the purgers you get from artifact pulls.

if you're unable to pull enough purgers at the speed you want, and you don't want to make the effort to actually produce them, then you shouldn't be doing large scan runs.

Even though large scan runs save time and credits

Did I say anything about it being cost effective?? Might wanna get those rolling eyes checked Billik.

If the poster is so impatient that he won't wait for his purgers to build up, and so whiny about energy that he won't use a mission to create them, then he should do small scan runs that he can actually clear.

I did a large scan run about 3 weeks ago, I'm waiting for my purgers to build up because thats the con of a large scanning run. you get cost effective scanning and it saves time as a pro, the con is that you have to wait until you can either produce them, or pull them from your AP shipments. seriously Billik, I thought you'd understand something like that. you can't have the pros, without the cons.

Guess I misread you, thought you were advising against blitzes and just doing small runs more often. I don't have the energy to be doing that mission for purgers either at the moment so yeah waiting is all you can do

Lol nah, I did small runs for about 40 ranks at the start when I didn't know any better.

atm with my energy cap, I can do the purger mission once a day, but I just wait for the ap to roll them in.

The idea itself isn't that bad of one it has its pros and cons to it i wouldn't mind something like this to be honest after my last 2 scans where i came up with around 300 junk planets in each one.

Sadly while its a good idea i don't see it being implemented for the simple reason that it wouldn't be very high on the priority list of things to do.

why not a ticky "purge" box next to each planet, and you click on the ones you want rid of.. when you've ticked one or more a Purge Now button becomes active and when clicked it purges them all as long you have the star chart purgers to cover it, otherwise we get a red box pop up saying not enough artifacts to purge selected worlds..

maybe

I'm not sure which is the funniest, the OP thinking that 5 purgers a day is slow, dude I get 1-2 a day MAX, if your that desperate get your arti up, or like it's been mentioned do the mission.

Or the 3 planets the previous poster owns.
