I have three simple ideas to make gameplay better: 1) the planet you shared would show up on news feed 2) the ability to sab when pop is so low you can't attack 3) automatically stack artifacts
I honestly don't see any negative impact from these

Some people don't like #3 due to sharing issues, but yeah. 1 and 2, +1

or it can remain as is. It's just 1 extra click. If you want a significant amount of clicking removed then allow for mass planet purging.

Hang on, can't you still sab a planet even if it's population is below 10?

It has to have recently been attacked by a player before that player can sab it. So if it is under 10 pop and that sab hasn't hit yet, he can't sab

Yes, if you use a virus on a planet, sab it, then come back 8 hours later to sab again, you can not. It needs to have been attacked 'recently'. Not sure what the definition of that is in relation to the game. If you are a sab attacking an inactive's world, your best option is to use a virus, get it to 99 population, sab, come back 8 hours later, hit it once and sab again. (Actually, best option is not to virus at all but some planets and/or lower level players benefit from it).
