Ooooh, hull and shields sounds reasonable, since we have probes for weapons and defense. Just be like a standard probe. I think it's pretty much the same thing but for a different stat, I like it.
Trap removal... dunno how that affects the balance. If you mean remove traps I triggered, no that kind of makes it pointless. If you mean disarm 1 enemy trap at random, then I think it might be ok, but still dubious if that's what Dan would really want. I think traps are important for PvP balance, notice the trap probe only tells you how many they have and nothing else. So I think this one probably wouldn't go through but it's an interesting idea.
