Post subject:  Cannot colonize planet
I just spent a few bucks, changed my profession to an explorer, and found over 600 new planets in my scan. One of the planets I found was an Unoccupied rift planet and I cannot colonize it, or use a drannik colony ship. I can understand not being able to attack or use any effects on a planet someone bought; however, this is unowned. please fix this problem.

The reasoning for adding the Invincibility is that people pay for them, so if you want one you have to pay for it too.

I have put money into the game... a decent bit... however, I imagine the odds of finding a planet like this is very rare. If Dan does not want us to colonize unoccupied planets like this, wouldn't it be logical for him to remove them from the galaxy. This is just like finding a natural dyson and saying I cannot have it. You can talk about money as much as you want, but I am just going to think he is greedy. and the result from my end, I am not going to spend no more money on this game. apparently it is not worth it.

i found a unocc invinc exotic, i asked dan he said no, i said fine, i've spent over $1k on this game so far(factoring in offers completed/fb credit gift cards earned from other offer sites), think i give a crap that he said no, not really, his game his rules, don't like it, throw sand somewhere else

So you scanned a planet that someone else spent money to make, that you can't colonize, and now you won't spend any more money on the game? Why in the world would you let someone else wasting their money deter you from doing what you want?

For one, each and every person's social-economic status is different, and two, the rules you referring too, are one big money racketing joke? because the rules in the game keep changing. At first you were able to buy planet and take them from others, then Dan added invincibility; however I have a friend who was able to take an invincible planet with the drannik colony ship...then that rule changed. I am complaining because as a player and as a customer I should have the right to challenge the integrity of the game at any point...if deemed necessarily. and I would consider this one of those moments.

soo, what you're saying iiiiiiis~ that the rules were changed to STOP this from happening. so now you want the rules to be changed again (because they already have been before :roll: ) to ALLOW this to happen.

this thread belongs in the suggestions forum as it's not an ingame issue and there's no support required over this.

you're having an issue with something that's working AS INTENDED. meaning this is really a suggestion on changing something that works.

It's intended to protect a players planets, I wouldn't really call defending the ones that are unoccupied anything more than 10 wasted energy

Can use please change it where if you scan an Unoccupied invincible planet you can colonize it, or at least use the drannik colony ship. I understand if someone paid for a planet, it should be protected; however this should not reach out to include the Unoccupied ones.

I have found two rift planets now, one enemy owned and one unoccupied, and finding an unoccupied invicible planet is equivelent to finding a natural dyson in my opinion. I already posted something about this in issues and support tab. here is the link: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26245

So your saying that you want to make the game where theres no need to pay for invincible planets? i know its rare to find but still so -1 it has been discussed so many times there made not colonizable for a reason because of they were occupiable do you think anyone would pay for mission rifts/dysons/exotics?

You missed the point mysterion he is saying that if someone stopped playing and they had there account deleted those invincible planets that no one owns any more can be took seeing as they arnt owned by anyone anymore.
Granted it just might be a over sight on dans part not many people would quit playing after putting forward the work to make one of them

He did it intentionally. I have no problem with the planets disappearing if a player quits so they no longer show up and take space on a scan run, but I seriously doubt he will make them able to be invaded when he has personally told countless players that he would not do just that.

Well leaving aside the not spending more money thing, I really don't see WHY an unoccupied invincible SHOULDN'T be colonizable. You can't abandon them, and I really don't see people going through all the trouble of completing the Exotic/Dyson missions, finding a rift worthy planet and spending 50 bucks each then resetting so someone else can then colonize it. That's a pretty stupid "exploit" if you ask me. If they are unoccupied, either let us colonize them if we're lucky enough to find one or take them (ALL invincibles) completely out of play with about 100k cloak. Let us colonize them but strip the invincibility.

The ability to scan a planet that is mechanically impossible to take is just plain stupid.

they maybe will either be removed or get the stats (size , production) lowered

that can't be Dan's reason as he's against the planet trade.
