After seeing several auctions in the Trade Hub devolve into arguments over ending times due to timezone confusion, ie Aussie vs US dates, can we get the server DATE included in the clock display? I realize that that little corner is a bit cramped, but I think it would be a helpful inclusion.

I just pull up my comp clock from the date / time button in windows, gestimate at what second it turns over. Works out most of the time, but you also need to remember to consider communication times between server and computer.

while yes it doesnt exactly add to the constructivness of a good suggestion, it does however provide a somewhat reliable work around in the mean time, since the computers are regulated by set time times upon creation unless you fiddle with it, they should be fairly accurate to what the server time is reading.

The TIME isn't the issue. The DATE is. If someone in Australia for example posts an auction ending on August 5th his timezone, it will end on August 4th in a majority of the other common timezones. This leads to arguments over early endings, etc. Your work around barely works if you know IN ADVANCE that the person is in a vastly different timezone.

People could just post auctions using an easier format; Start time right now at "insert time" In-Game Time or GST as i believe its been coined. Then just say they're ending the auction 48 hours from that time, or however many hours they wish to end the auction in, rather than stating dates and timezones irrelevant to the game.

That's true and would be effective as a workaround, but it's been hard enough to get people to post times in GLT (GST). Having the server date included with the time on the in-game clock would give us one look, no math information. Honestly, having a "universal" time isn't quite universal if the date isn't also.
