Research all weapon tiers.
10 medal points - Title: The Weapon

More Energy!!
Research all energy tiers.
10 medal points - Ship Design: Dythis (something with huge glowing portions signifying loads of energy)

Use The Force... Barriers
Research all shield tiers.
10 medal points - Passive Ability: 5% to shield recharge

You Can't See Me
Research all cloaking tiers.
10 medal points - Module: Advanced A.I. - size 10. Adds 2% chance for a successful critical hack

Tis' But A Scratch!
Research all hull tiers.
10 medal points - Artifact: Syncopated Brackets - Adds 5% to your current hull. (i.e. if you have 10K hull at the time, you get 500 extra hull, is not affected by bonuses.)

It Will Not Work
Research all defense tiers.
10 medal points - Title: The Immovable Object

I Will Find You
Research all scanning tiers.
10 medal points - Ability: Forced Purge - purges a planet from your database. Costs 10 energy, usable once every 60 hours.

King Of The World
Research all planetary building tiers
10 medal points - Building: Advanced Castle - 10000 defense, attack and cloak. 3 production for all resources. Size: 2 (cannot be removed with Mylarai Extractor) (only one available - like the Omni-Base)

Be Jealous
Research all base tiers.
50 medal points - Artifact: Smuggler Upgrades - upgrades random base production module, increasing production by 10% but increasing upkeep by 20% up to a maximum of 50% extra production.

Can you explain this one a little better? Your ship doesn't have production modules, but planets don't have upkeep.

It's on the base tier, so I'm assuming it refers to the harvesters installed on our base.

Great idea but i think that the medals need to be rewarded for researching the CURRENT top tier tech otherwise if Dan decides to introduce more tiers then people will complain that other players got the rewards with less effort. Other than that they all sound great.

P.S.
I assume that the Advanced Castle is an artifact that creates a building not a blueprint otherwise that's way OP. Also the Cool-down on the purge is kinda long maybe 40hrs like the planet buffing abilities.

if im a laz fixer do i get 5% exrta buff of my buff? I think it should be unbuffed hull . 100% unbuffed. no artys mods or race bonus

Yeah, it's a single building. Since the Omni-base is basically kaput now, we need a new ultimate planet building.

As for the planet purge ability, I chose 60 hours so that it could not be relied on exclusively. It's meant as a booster.

yeah, it's just your base hull. So race/profession bonus and artis won't increase it.

Ah, ok. The use of the Smuggler name kinda threw me off because, you know, I don't want smugglers on my base... :?

All in all, not bad. Maybe some slight tweaking on the numbers, but not bad.

+1 from me. Completing the research should be seen as an achievement, and with the addition of the medal system it's odd that there are no medals like this already. The additional rewards are just a bonus to me, but they're still good - and appropriate - bonuses.

Great place for us to burn RP in once we are all high rank and got maximum RP in everything but legion base research....then we can enjoy spending millions upon millions getting that Smuggler Upgrade.


Smuggler Upgrade only usable if you spent a TOTAL time for 3 months+ in that legion? No idea if Dan can keep track of that figure though...

Its already tracked. hover over the online status of someone in your legion. It should sure how long they have been there.

I like all of them (especially the forced purge considering it takes me like a year to purge out all the planets) except I think the amount of medal points give should maybe be proportional to the amount of research needed so the energy tiers would get a little more points than the scan tiers. +1
