 New dark badge/ally

Since we are adding a few new guys why not make one from badges. Maybe 700 medal points to unlock it, 1k dark badges, ranks every time you kill 100 assassins.

Name: you choose
Title: The assassin.
Type: TBD
Starting stats: you choice between
+50 defense, +50 cloak or +150 base defense +40 energy
Rank X: +50 attack or +100 invasion attack
Rank Y: +200 hull or +100 shields
Rank 100: +5 % NPC attack (Not affected by rank bonus)

This sounds good. It sounds easy for many of the players who this is evidently aimed at with the 700 medal point requirement, but I guess you then have to level it up too.

+1 Ranking evrey 100 assassins up to rank 100 will take a long time to . I like it.

In general, I like this. Especially as I'm normally an avid NPC player. But let me make it a little more interesting. Rather than adding another NPC counter (like the ones for the medals ie Seeing Red) and getting the benefit of both the kill count AND the dark badges, I submit the actual Dark Badges be used for ranking up the ally. This forces the strategic decision of whether to rank the ally or buy Magnetos/Quacks.

Would you honestly pay 11k dark badges for 5% more NPC attack + a few other small bumps in other stats? I would just skip the thing tbh

@ Fluffy... Honestly, 11k... No. I wasn't going into specific numbers required for leveling, just the basic setup. That said...

@ Pony... 550 to build, 50 per rank sounds fairly reasonable to me. Total 5500 to reach rank 100. Not easy, but not excruciatingly hard either.

i like it, but we should be able to rank it as much as we want and when we want to . I dont want to be tied down with timmers

Eh... I think 3 ranks per day limit is fair. That's an average of 8 hours each rank, the same as the current ct ally. That would prevent people that have hoarded badges for weeks from power ranking their lil buddy to 100 in 5 minutes.

4 ranks a day :P

I mostly dont want to have to rank it asap to give it good growth .

This is why I preferred my method of ranking. There is no timer, but 10k assassins is not something you can do in a day, a week maybe, but not a day. It is not retro-active either, the person must continue to NPC rather than just use badges they might have collected while getting the medal points, and the reward is not so powerful that the dark badges obtained while ranking it are too much of an additive bonus.

I just don't see myself paying 5500 dark badges for 5% NPC attack...and the amount I would pay is far too low, which is why I went with the counter idea.

I would pay that no problem.
Remember, these aren't meant to reach rank 100 in 1 day.
The others take 50 days and 33 days respectively.

i like it the original way stated better rather than spending a certain amount of badges to rank it
the badges are still useful to buy the planet artifacts

maybe up the amount of assassins that need to be disabled each time your ally ranks

You guys do realize he said it ranks for every 100 assasins killed, which means you still keep the badges. you only pay 1k badges to get it.

yes thats what i was saying.. i think what i said and quoted what he said mixed things up a bit

the way he originally posted it seems to be a good system imo
