Ok... I got bored and have reasonable graphics softwear, so gave some of the oceanics a paint job. And no, I wasn't trying to make them better Ocanics... Water is not the sort of color seen here, is it:?: Dan, if you wish to use them you may. I will keep adding to this as I have time Planets:         NPCs:   I Might try a few NPCs while wating for this base to be disabled. As you may have noticed, I have a thing for glowing blue lights.... |

No offense but those don't really look like oceanics. Honestly they look more like variations of the demon. (#5 is the exception.) I do like the way the effects look on #2 though. |

Yeah, 2 stood out to me as well. It was the only one that looked some what different from what is already in game. Nice art though. |

Yeah I like what you're doing. I would like to see you branch out to other starting designs but with users doing the graphical work like this, Dan can implement these things with essentially 0 effort on his part and focus on content. So keep up the good work. |

He didn't say he made that one, that's just him listing what he wants to work on when he gets bored. EDIT: Now that I re-read, him saying "based on" does seem to imply he changed it in some way. |

"A high rank players should be able to see what that's based on" says he did say it was changed. I'm glad I'm not the only that didn't see any differences. |

Meh, either way, adding a pink overlay to planet images does not make any of those planets look good. |

If you have photoshop CS5 you can make your own planet textures. Take a random picture of something, say a rock wall, mess around with it in photoshop. Save it. Open a new file and create a 3D sphere using the texture as the surface. Presto, new planets. |
