 Newer aspect of the game

This is just an idea, but i think the game can get pretty boring after long periods of time, so i think it would be a good idea for new aspects to concentrate on, as the main things of the game is currently pvp, pve, npc, missions or bases. Now i think that the game would be quite a bit better if there was something that can be implemented across the whole of the galaxy legion. Few ideas are;

1) Contests: (This has already been suggested before but i want to share my ideas for it)
There could be a contest for the different aspects of ship stats i.e. player kills, planets invaded, npc kills etc. However these would only work with rank categories which could be open to discussion. As a reward, instead of GP, there could be unique artifacts and ship modules only obtainable by winning or coming in the top 'x' of the contests. This would put more of a competitive edge into the game as the leaderboard at the moment is just there for display and really serves no purpose.

2) Upgrades for modules by a new research method (not using badges):
I think at higher ranks, when RP is pretty pointless except from the contract, there should be another tree for those with the contract for module upgrades. How this works could be open to discussion but I think something like the artifact from previous bi-weekly mission but something more time worthy...its kind of complicated to put into words but i hope you all get my drift.

3) NPC planets:
By this i dont mean the way normal planets work, i mean for a successful invasion you get a specific amount of the resource it has for example there could be a small exotic which has 'x' amount of RP available which if you invade successfully you get the amount of resources. Ontop of this there could a mega planet which would be shareable in the legion (similar to the way bosses and elites work) where for example the population is 80,000+ and the reward is shared between each of the lockers. Think of the idea as NPC camps (if you guys play anyother games like kingdom of camelot, armies of magic etc.) Now i know that this would mean the retrieval of AP maybe slightly more faster however if there were limits to say 3 planets per resource per day and any one player can lock 1 or 2 mega planets a day. The discovery of these planets are open for discussion.

Any comments on any of these would be great, at end of the day its gotta be suitable for all of us and everyone has a voice of opinion, good or bad. Thanks :D.

All the ideas have been suggested before in some form or other, you can see how the community reacted if you manage to dig them up. NPC planets Dan has already shown an interest in adding.

Yeh the trouble is i CBA to find the existing ones as i could be looking for hours...and i didnt know about the NPC planets that dan has shown an interest in...but never mind atleast they are all on one post in a different form lol
