Right now if someone has their disables dropped to zero there is no consequence. They can CM, debuff and basically play as if nothing happened, but they can not be hit back. This is similar to how halcyons were abused before.

Simple change is make it so 0 disables effective acts like a halcyon trap being set off. They are pacfied, can't use enemy arts, it can be broken witha hack or raid when they gain an action or time goes up and their action count rises.

Nope. Disables, Raids and Hacks. Rumors of Invasions counting but I've never seen that.

Yeah. All of the above count as offensive actions (count for tm limit), but dont add to action count.

I've always just thought if you were zeroed for disables, you should not be able to repair. But +1 regardless.

That gives attackers too much power on how someone plays. Imagine a pack of 5 people similar ranks/scan all hitting the same target, easy enough to get multiple disables (only 3 of them need to actually do the final hit) and drop their action count to 0. Now that person can't do certain missions, PVP, NPCs, or bases.

+! i always felt that if you do a hostile action it should add to your action count... so if you artifact spam someone it should add to your action count.

Um, there's one thing you are missing though. While many players use this tactic, most do not. If they get halced when they hit zero, that means they can't retaliate. If they can't use arts, they are unlikely to be able to hack their way out of it, so then the only option would be to cross fingers for a free raid, or wait a full day.

So then if someone zeros you, you have to wait 24 hours from the first disable before you can hit back?

Sorry, I like the premise but execution needs work.

Invasions do bump 1 action. 3 5 5 to 4 6 6

SO basically what you're saying is that when someone gets their ship torn to bits and utterly destroyed they are unable to fight back and that's a bad thing? That's the point of this idea, they shouldn't be able to, especially since it leaves the attackers completely vulenerable to debuffs/CMs all day without and repercussions to the 0'd person.

Again not what I suggested...and honestly that is terrible it takes two people to zero anyone who has maxed out on action via raids/hacks disables as is, throw on arts and I could reach thousand in a single day and be torn apart.

Well there isn't alot of room to fix this issue

1) Reach 0 actions and you are prevented from using offensive artis.. Now you can't fight back when you are 0'd no one is going to go for that

2) Use offensive arti it ups your actions count.. You can CONTROL the amount of offensive artis you use.. at least now its a choice

or something similar

3) Use of flares/clouders increases you hack actions
Use of CM/Emp/DB/krio/ increases your Disables count

4) kinda separate issue but I am still a fan of allowing receiving ship to fire back and counting the Arti as an attack in addition to the action

you can hack/raid... and break it like a halcyon. It is not difficult to find someone to raid off the bt.

If they want to fight back then they should have some sort of consequence. The point is that right now they hit 0 and they can just make your game play miserable all day long and no way for the attacker to fight back. I think I would be okay if they only raised the action count by 1 and capped there, MAYBE UP T 3/5/5 but that is it. I shouldn't have 10 actions if I decide to kill a 1.2k+ off my bt by lobbing a few emps to soften them up.

second idea would work perfectly and would be easy to code
if disables=0 then disables=1 :)

the actions = 0 is supposed to prevent farming. the idea that a farmee should not be able to harass a farmer is nonsense. (farmer not to be taken derogatorially).

however, in the case that a farmee lobs artis against someone just on his bt, not from his battle log ... that might be abusive in some sense, but i still don't see how upping their action count back to 1 would resolve anything.

like all the folks lustily chanting for a war mode ... if the arti is in their cargo hold, i don't see why they shouldn't be able to use it.
