Sometimes the scope of the legion changes enough to warrant a new name. Therefore, how hard is it to code the ability to rename your legion?

its not ash, you just contact dan about changing the name. and boom! name changed in a day or so.

Harder than it is for Dan to just manually change it upon request.


Legions rarely need to change their names so any "item" to do that would be a waste of time. Stop asking for something like this because if it did get added, it would be a fairly expensive GP item.

Then let it be a GP item if it needs to be. But a legion leader should have the first one for free (any subsequent ones should have a cost.)

umm how about not everyone who plays this game has the money to change their legion name? Be considerate for those who choose not to pay into the game or would not want to pay for the name change. I mean ive put money into this game and i would be angry if they made changing the legion name costing GP.

Asheron i am giving this idea a -1. like darth said it would probably be added as a GP item and leaders shouldn't have to pay to change it. its a free servous atm so just leave as is.

it doesn't take that long for Dan to do this. it took only a half hour after i sent my request for him to change the legion name.

I'm sure the one legion per week that requests a name change justifies the time spent creating something to do it for him.

You're right. I probably did overestimate the number of legions requesting name changes. The point is that there are so few legion name changes being made that it is not worth his time to create an automated mechanism.

Quoting/paraphrasing smart people does not prove you yourself are smart. It just shows you know how to use google. If you actually DID learn something from your "failures" here in the suggestion forum, it should be that your ideas are among the top class idiotic, moronic ideas in the 2.5 years of this game. You really need to stop posting ideas that do NOTHING to improve the game in any way and are a waste of server space to keep them archived.

There were "cosmic bracelets" (ringworlds.) Then asking to bugfix the inability to put basic punctuations in comms.

Remember, there are and can be numerous failures between successes. People become successes in the first place by muddling through failures first. More often than not, it takes failures to learn to have successes.

You must be a slow learner then.

Do you have any idea how many times those ideas had been brought up BEFORE you? Only since the beginning of the game. Don't try to take credit for so-so ideas that aren't even yours to begin with.
