Post subject: | Enhancing Game Development : Player Driven Content |
I had played a game called Universe Genesis where it was able to develop extremely fast because majority of content was developed by players. Ships, NPCs, Technology, Games Stories, Modules etc were designed by players and approved by the developer. Players that made great artwork were awarded a type of resource equivalent to Galaxy Points. Take into note that Universe Genesis only had about 1000 players, imagine what the GL community could do. Developers of GL, please consider a section where we are able to submit content developed by players and allow us to help ourselves. |

The issue with GL's content isn't descriptive artwork, which is basically all that is player created in UG. Plus, those bits of art from UG are modifications of approved templates. Without that system, there would be potential copyright issues if a player "created" whatever actually was plagiarized from some super obscure internet source. I think the Suggestion forum is quite sufficient for "player driven content." Dan just needs to pay more attention to it and give appropriate feedback on stuff like he did in the old days. @Nova... Not sure how Tomaxko would feel about having his game's artwork splashed around like that. |

Agreeing with what others said here. S+I is enough. It's the mods fault if stuff isn't installed. |
