I am sure similar suggestions must have been made before BUT.
My version includes a payoff for Dan and FB.
Re-roll option in GP menu, Giving the user the option to restart his Avatars stats at the very least.
Could be as simple as a relocation of all rank points.
Or if you want to be hard about it have them lose 50% of rank and rank points, Keeping the same % of possessions "planets and such".
I am sure there are a multitude of things to also deal with, So feel free to say so :O)
PS:Option 2 He Could also do a GP TOLL to a new Galaxy where when entering each player is forced to re-roll, And there's no going back BUT the 2 galaxy's are connected as one as far as all aspects. ....This would of-course be harder to implement.

I think he means a respec, like in all of the MMORPG games like DC Universe or WoW. This allows a player to pay a fee in order to redo all stats, or Rank Points as it would be here.
respec A term largely used in MMORPGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) where you are given the chance to rebuild your character's ability set. This is often granted for free as a result of game changes over time that may have rendered your character weaker.
Some MMO's have implemented methods where you acquire an item to get a respec or you can pay with in game money for one.

-1. This game is all about how you've built your ship, so if you can completely change that just by throwing some cash at Dan, it ruins the fun of the game.
Also, if this somehow was implemented, it would need to be keep the same rank, but lose 75% (or more) of the rank points you're respec'ing.

-1 does dan keep track of how many ship bots you've gotten? how about prisoners? what about helmsman / scientsits / tesseract containers? what about MSPs?..... wait what am i sayin  ??????  ??????? +1 Billion I would love to turn half of my now 22k cargo into converted rank points  11k / 5 = 2.2k rank points = 4.4k tac officers ( +4.4k attack ) ... wat... NO TERRIBLE IDEA !!!! taht means other people who have a bajillion of unused space just get that much stronger, back to the -1

Then you would lose them. Plain and simple. That should be the penalty, You would respec, and get your 5 points per level to put where you want. If you need to respec that badly, you deserve to lose them.

-1 . And here is why,
You can get ship bots, android helmsmen and android scientists from artifact pulls.
If you were to re-roll people who have 5k+ ship bots sitting in their cargo (Mento in particular), would suddenly get 10k rank points to play with thats 20,000 tactical officers. Not to mention the rank points they would get from all their scientists as anyone would prefer tactical officers over helmsmen any day. With the scientists you can probably add another 20,000 to that tally. Ohh and don't get me started on cargo, that's a whole other ball game
Would be WAY to overpowered and would make the gaps in the game even bigger.

That's why I said if you need to respec so badly, you deserve to lose what you have gained just to buff up one stat with all rank points.

Lolol, energy build, rank up fast with halc, gain artifact planets for msps, ship decks, prisoners, andriods and such. Then you use the "Reroll" option, build a ssb with pure tac's. -1.

I was referring to DariousTheDark's method. If that was implemented, Mento would be stripped to 8790 rank points when resetting. He would lose a ton of attack for the benefit of gaining a small ship; it would be an enormous trade off.
