OK i have a small suggestion, I know Dan has made some awesome changes to Exotica, I love the idea that literally anybody can get exotica now ( or they would have however once again circumvention is at play.

I believe the defense debuff should also include attack, sorry guys but no way a small guy is going to get exotica unless they so lucky if the attack is over 70k i think the defense debuff should include attack. Right now people have cottoned on that defense buildings are useless may as well put attack buildings.

We have generally removed all defenses when we take this planet giving anybody a chance, obviously this works for us because the fun is taking it back for now. But adding attack defeats the whole purpose of the defense debuff.

Id like to see it changed so that everyone gets a chance.

Do you mean the Insurgent Uprising effect? I don't think the effect itself should be changed, because that would affect all planets, not just Exotica.

No i mean in the past we just put standard 12 Defense structures on the planets now with the defense buff to keep the planet players put 12 attack structures not allot of people can get past 70k attack there is no strategy in Luck.

We have not seen much of a problem yet and many senior players are still gunning for the medal (it still gets taken in-spite 70k attack)but in a very short while its going to become a problem.

Why do they put Attack on it now? Because of a debuff? Which one? Do you mean the "Contested" debuff? That applies to both attack and defense.

The debuff being referred to is the Insurgent Uprising effect. Rather than changing the effect in regards to Exotica, I think a better option would be for Exotica to be immune to any invasion triggered temporary (or permanent) effects.

Yeah, that's what I thought, and was thinking about the same solution.

I don't think that's what he is talking about. Doesn't Exotica have this thing in which defense is lowered by 10% or something every day?

i thought it was an auto debuff that was on the planet long before the recent contested debuff. it was a cumulative daily debuffing of the planet... basically to keep one player from holding onto it for too long. no idea what it was called, or if it was removed for the new contested debuff.
it certainly wasnt the insurgent uprising though.

What wasn't the Insurgent Uprising? What are any of you people talking about? What you're describing is the Contested debuff, and that lowers attack too. How do you know it isn't the Insurgent Uprising debuff (you know, the one that only applies to defense)? Why don't people ever know what they're talking about? Why does nobody in this thread (other than Darth and I) have any idea what they're saying and what's going on? How is everybody so entirely confused, and so entirely terrible at explaining themselves and understanding others?

i could have sworn that the last update.. a few months back on exotica, was a daily cumulative debuffing of the planets defences, or maybe population.. i dont KNOW because ive never had a NEED to know, because im not going for exotica yet.. just something i thought i remembered being posted...

From Dan:
Quote:
The contested stacking debuff on Exotica has increased from -5% per day, to -20% per day.

Ok, to settle things that apparently only Ferrus and I are understanding...

There is the Contested nerf that affects both Attack AND Defense. It was originally 5% per day. Dan changed that to 20% per day with the most recent update. The "exploit" that is being discussed herein is the Invasion effect Insurgent Uprising that affects ONLY defense and people are stacking Exotica with Attack structures since no artifacts can be used against it. The suggestion made in the OP is that it affect Attack as well. However tweaking that effect would cause issues with other planets as well. My suggestion was that Exotica be immune to any effects caused by invasions just so everything is fair and as originally intended when it was conceived as an immune planet.

Sorry, I had assumed you were an English speaker, which isn't a good assumption to make online. I highlighted the contradictory parts of your statements. For future reference, if you are "certain" of something that means you "know", not that you "believe" or that you are "guessing". If you don't know then you are not certain.

That's obviously a quick and easy fix. Get to it Dan.
