Enabled by the attacking legion as an alternative to normally target locking an enemy base. Attacker Consequences- Unable to see how much hull and shield is/remains on the base.
- Locked base gets 10% defense increase.
- Defenders gain a one-time activatable ability equivalent to the Krionus Virus Trap on the top damager. Non-removeable by Null Fuse.
Defender Consequences- Has the ability to repair twice only.
If the attacker succeeds, each person receives one extra silver badge above a normal base lock. If the defender succeeds, they in turn have the option to lock the opposing legion's base.

Rarek it sounds interesting but sounds a lot like a normal base battle to me.

The point is to create a base battle which is more challenging for the attacker. It's similar but much more difficult for the attacker to complete, hence the extra reward at the end. There's also the consequence for failure, in that the opposing legion is able to lock your base in retaliation. Makes the game more challenging and gives a possibility for some interesting outcomes, especially in a war situation.

Because they can only repair once this makes attacking way easier.

To me, the disadvantage of not seeing how much health remains is a big demotivator, and after a long time of clicking, not knowing if the opposing legion repaired or not, it can come to the point where someone may give up when the base is on the brink of destruction. Perhaps two repairs makes more sense, I'll revise the original post. But there should be some sort of positive difference to Ghost Locking for the attackers differing from normal base locks, otherwise there'd be no incentive. Other than the added rewards of course.

Just saying any of the top battle groups would be able to take down any base. and i mean ANY.

What if you crit hack the leader or officer of a legion, and gain base location instead of a planet location.
Isn't that what you're hacking anyway .... enemy intelligence ...

Isn't that what you're hacking anyway .... enemy intelligence ... That would mean you could get a glass base you could continually lock at a whim. Not a good idea.

So, you haven't locked the same base several times in a week? I know I have, and I know it's been done to mine. I get locked and disabled by the same legion weekly.

That doesn't mean a guaranteed lock should be made available. At least this way you get the chance that they can't find you. And no, disregarding CRA's recent lock, WDE hasn't been locked in months.

And no, disregarding CRA's recent lock, WDE hasn't been locked in months. 1.5 months? July 31/August 1 one of those days. I know because I used your base to do a little over 1.3M damage and waste 5M research in the ctl. As for the whole ghost lock...considering the triumvirate has records of each base we lock, we don't even need to see the base before we know how much att/def/hull/shields it has most of the time. Even then we only really care about the number of fixers which you pretty much eliminate the usefulness of with you suggestion. Even with a 10% increase (2 aerlen), the damage cap is high enough that we can kill most 6s within 10 minutes, not even giving them a chance to defend themselves. If it was an automatic lock no seeing what base and gave more incentive like 2 raids or something then maybe it would be worth it talking about, but as now i would say no

I have to agree with this. A 10% defense boost isn't huge, and the top legions would be able to lock any base with impunity knowing that they would spend a fraction of their former energy expenditure to take down any base due to the fact that the defenders are limited to two repairs (I'm assuming that includes Emergency Repairs).
