It would be nice to have a beep when something new appears in news.
I suggest a toggle interface with a light bright - activity / inactivity on certain timers.
Planetary resource delivery
News feed alerts
Maybe other things. Simple is always better.

Sound alerts would be fantastic. Npc alerts, pvp alerts, planet being attacked alerts. I can hear the red alert sound in the background now...

If it was done with resident .wav files. We could have voices. Hearing voices with no sizzling stake in perspective ... good deal.  Plamok _________________

I bet among us all players, many have home recording studios, I have my modest outfit. We could contribute.
But looping overlapping voices would be a pain.
...Red Alert would have to be looped for us campers hunting the fridge late at night.
Maybe a 30 secs loop would be ok. Hit a key to stop.
I would like it to hear the sound scape of a Star Trek bridge.
