So for a long time we wanted a use for shipbots and with the whole SSB on exotica blah blah blah...
How about a repeatable mission:
100 energy 1 ship bots 10 rounds each completion gives you an art that reduces deck size by 1.
It is slow enough to keep the game within balance, it allows people to change their build so that a SSB can go to a MSB or LSB decide they prefer to go back...might take 20x as long but they can and if they change their minds again they can go back.
How removing decks would work: Similar to when you switch from sillix your mods go offline when you remove decks if they occupy more than you have. Just instead of the 0 space items that go offline, make it so that none of the gear works until below the deck limit.
keeps the hardwork of people who kept their ships small from the beginning and allows those who regret going up to shrink at a fairly heavy price.

great idea, only thing i can see being a problem is ship size medals and how they might work around this +1

So you want players with a ton of arti production to have an option to lower their damage cap? All the while they will be adding more and more crew making it more like taking on a legion base rather than another ship, I doubt it would take someone like Mento that long to come up with ship bots to lower his decks if he really wanted to. I think everyone should play the hand they've dealt themselves when it comes to ship build, if it's that bad there is always the reset button.

O and 32k clicks to make them, and another 3.2k to use them. The thing about SSB is they have to constantly change their gear around. Hundreds of clicks to do change their ships, do I think Mento who can't be bothered to use his rank points will reduce his decks, honestly no idea, but I can see a lot of people not wanting to shrink just for the fact that it would be too time consuming and expensive to switch around gear to use it effectively. It is a very slow process to change back even for Mento.

To all those who say no way removing decks isnt op.
What if to removing 1 deck took 100 bots took 100 clicks and 1k energy. The cost for using it is the loss of 100 of each crew?
Ridiculous right? Would you still be saying its op? Kinda doubt it. This example may be crazy, but my point is that the ability to remove decks does not inherently break the game. So stop instantly saying no it won't work look at mento, and maybe try to give a suggestion of a more appropriate penalty.

stop making these crap suggestions ffs EVERYONE wh has added tacs and helmsman from arti pull and reduces their ship size back to scout would become nearly incincible , just from that decent amout of brackets they got with the prisoners and helmsman

Still game breaking.. energy? no problem Bots? no problem , those who have enough crew to be "strong" in pvp will get enough bots anyway and probably have tens of thousands gathering dust hmm mlp last sad he had 30K scientists , dont see a problem there either To add something like this the whole game should reset (aint a bad idea to make a second GL actually , where those who get bored can start a second life where everyone has the same capabilitys)

-1. If you want a SSB just reset and stop adding decks.Its selfish to change the game for all the players only because 1-2 players decided that they want a SSB now.

I don't understand why everyone shoots down ideas like this.. being able to reduce decks.. should be in the game.. but should cost a lot. everyone that keeps saying that reducing decks would break the game.. really need to look at SSB... If it is sooo game breaking to be able to reduce decks, id have to say SSB is OP and needs to be fixed.

Look it was for ship bot use, the reason I put in the deck reduction was to make it so that people COULD change their ship builds with considerable amount of effort on their part. I don't see many actually willing to do all the swapping necessary for a SSB/MSB it is far too time consuming, those who want to can.
Those who say it is game breaking to be able to reduce decks at all are ridiculously over exaggerating the side effects. Doing it with easy and little effort yes, but that is true for anything. Having to painfully do the mission several thousand times to get down to a MSB would take a very LONG time. It would not be over night that the entire galaxy was a SSB. I am also tired of hearing "O but MENTO this mento that..." he is an anomaly there are very few people with productions within 80% of his. I have 50k I get about 10 bots a day that is a deck a day I could reduce my ship size. 1 deck...you scared I will be a SSB within 5 years?

the only problem I really have with it is that bots are purchasable, yes it would take most of the high ranks tons of gp to shrink enough for it to matter a lot but it is possible for some to do that.
For something else to use up the shipbots how about mission or ct lab that makes a satellite for a planet 0 space adds one of a few bonuses to choose between such as +2 production of resource of choice, 2400 attack, def or cloak or 1200 of all three. Limit 1 per planet.
