Playing context : Attacking a base as quickly as possible during a legion effort. Need for repairs and the attack keeps going. Your ship is too damaged to attack message loops each time. keyboard/Mouse entry buffer. - base attack, attack button : buffer length - current buffer holds too many actions, no escape option and wait time can be "game critical" Suggestion: Use the current NPC attack button parameters. Kill buffer. Possible other benefit: This could also help counter lag during base attacks in a side neutral manner. Regards, Plamok |

I think there is a command to flush the input buffer. It would be cool. Ok. ![]() You hit your ship is too damaged and it continues clicking attack 25 times. Possible cause: base attack blitz frenzy ![]() Plamok ![]() |

Not exactly sure what you're trying to get at here... The only legal way to make continued attempts at attacking is to continue flicking your finger on the mouse button. Once you get the repair message, you're not actually doing anything. |

Attacking a base you go click click click click click click click click click click click click click click The bold is when your ship is too damaged and the message starts to pop up. It will do so another 4 times before it stops. He wants it a way to stop the extra clicks from going through or disable the attack button when you get to the point when you can't attack In hopes it reduces lag. |

Wont reduce the lag enough to be worth Dan's valuable time.. |

You know squat about entry ports, preemptive entry device buffer flushing and communications. Go back to making a big guy of your self in the bar. Plamok |

Plamok Daddy issues i suppose? And i do in fact know how this would reduce the lag, and like i said not worth it What is also not worth it? checking this thread , so i wont anymore |

I don't know squat about programming either, but that doesn't mean I can't see that this is a suggestion for Dan to change something because amphetamine and Red Bull fueled monkeys can't stop mashing the attack button when their hull hits 10%. |

good. you didn't contribute nothing but trashing it. I have seen studies with equations to support them here. People really into game mechanics used to post.. If you don't understand why paste it all over? The anything goes area is the bar. As for the number 4 ... I have reached as many as 15 refreshes during last ditch blitzes and it does bug me. I bet others are annoyed by it also. So shake loose buddy. Plamok |

I don't see it as a big deal. I do it sometimes, usually stop 1-2 clicks over not 4 or 15. I watch my hull when I attack so I know when to repair. Would it be nice if Dan did change it yes, should it be a high priority no. I don't need to know computer tech to give my opinion about what I want Dan to spend his time dealing with. |

I see this. Essentially greying out the attack button when you "fail" an attack. It'd reduce lag somewhat, and I know I over-click PvPing even (perhaps moreso due to the fact that enemy ships are squishy). |

Regards, Plamok I'd +1 this .. coding is already there so I wouldn't think this would take THAT much of dan's time.. |
