sorry but bigger defense doesnt mean squat when 4-5 sabs can destroy all your defense. |

Defence as it is doesn't mean much. 20k on your planets is a reasonable amount without affecting production to badly but there is a growing number who class 20k defence as an easy take. |

i would be in favor of a 1500 or 2000 def planet shield ! Mid ranks start to get ok planets and they can't cloak them well, that rank 300-800 rang seems to suck for people based off the planets i take and see taken, helping them out would be nice. Also temp fluxs cost there whole NRG bar so not much they can do. |

What dan needs to do is bring out two more research tree's 1 for shields, a new shield mod for ships and a new planetary defense mod. say 2400+ defense 1 for weapons, a new weapon mod for ships and a new planet weapon mod. say 2400+ attack But that is still just a temporary fix as there is a max amount of defense you can put on a planet, and no limit as to how high your ship attack can be. |

How about a cascading structure tech and a reinforced structure tech. The cascading would allow building up to four more shields using a fifth one as a base cutting space needed in half, but if the shield supporting them gets hit all connected shields go down. The reinforced would take an extra space but would take two hits from sab/ccm with the value of the shield dropping in half after the first hit. |

It would be a whole lot better if the when new planet def. mods come out that they start to have a % added bonus to def. like a few of the special ones. Adding more then just one level of research as well. Also decrease the success of sabing them as well as they got higher leveled. Stronger installations usually have more security. Level 1: 1200def. 1% extra def. 2: 1500, 3% 3: 2000, 5% 4: 5000, 7% 5: 10,000, 10% Last few would take extremely more research and be for the top players only. It's about time both ships and planets leveled up in strength (bases too). |

Increasing the static amount of defence a planet structure will give will work great! For about another year, then they will be too weak to do anything again. Need a rework of how planet defences work in general i think, not just to make the numbers bigger. I would suggest something like each defence structure also lowers the maximum possible success sligtly. THat means that normally 90% is the best you can get. Well, lets say that if you have 5 obviation barriers, the best possible success chance you can get is 75% (even if your attack is more than 3x the total defence) With 10 obviation barriers, the maximum chance of success is 60%. Obviously the percent numbers i chose there were completly random, and would have to be playtested/experimented with - that example is each obviation barrier lowered maximum success by 3%. I also think that anything that raises invasion % chance should help counter this, but opinions vary, im sure. I should probably point out that this hurts more more than it helps me - i can take a planet with 10 obviation barriers without blinking. |

The only thing stopping the people with the beastly attacks is the invade costs when your getting up to rank 1800 or so invades run over 110b per. This is the best deterrent we have to protect are planets and the really good ones we need to be able to cloak that is the only real solution how ever high invades get your still going to try and invade an MC 22x etc so cloaking is the only real option that wont become redundant in time. |
