Ok here is my idea. Since I feel that many are getting bored with the game not seeing the point to do much any more I vote for biweekly contests to be put into the game.

To start these contests would be different every two weeks and can be anything from NPCing to legion wide PVPing contests. Say one contest says who can kill the most NPC's and then the next one says what legion can kill the most enemy players.

Now many of you may be thinking that this would not be fair since it would only be the high ranking players that get the rewards or the high ranking legions. Well that is where part two of my idea comes in. I think that it should be split up by rank. So say by ranks of 50 till rank 300 then by 100's till say around rank 1K then from there it should go up by 250's till rank 2K then what ever from there. So it evens it out and makes it more fair for everyone. And for legions it should be split up by their avg strength score making it more far as well.

Now for part three. Awarding the winners of the contests. I think the top 30 should get an award for it but even there the award should be split up so the guy in the number one spot still gets the best. Then the rest of the top five then the next five and then by tens till you get them all. So five awards in all. I also think that there should be a new leader board added on for this and you should be able to switch from each of the groups to find the one your in so it takes up less space and is easier to work.

Now the awards that could be given out could be things like a limited edition arti. Some TF's, Qse's, Fluxs, and so one as well could be given out. Just make it something worth while so everyone will at least try. The award should also be listed when the contest is so everyone knows what it is they are fighting for. If it is something new the stats should be listed with it.

I think that this idea would make the game fresh again and get everyone into it. And with a new thing out every two weeks it would keep going as well.

And for Dan on a side note I also think this will get more people to spend money on the game again. Low and high ranking people.

Sure ! I like it .. It would be something new and fresh and different.

The guys that have played the game for over 2 years have to set personal goals and be socially active to keep them going otherwise they get bored.

Competition is something that keeps people motivated. The leader board does give competition but for long term goals.
Something like this could give everyone a short term goal and get something really nice out of it too.

Right now all of us have goals for badges to get new modules on our ships and to scan bases with but it's not that exciting anymore. We've recently recruited a lot of different guys and got rid of some dead weight but it's slowing down already.
I've seen this happen for two years now.

If something like this is implemented everyone in the game would have a chance to have themselves in the spotlights even if it's for a day or a week.

Probably doesn't mean much from me but, +1.
Also what happens if, for example, your in the #1 spot for your rank group but then you rank up and you qualify for the next group up, are you forced to claw your way back to the top again or do you stay in the lower group until the end of the current contest and then next time you'll be part of the next group.

That would be up to Dan. I think you should be part of the next group but that is just me. lol

I would say whatever your rank would determine what leaderboard you'd be on at the end of the contest.

All in all I like it, but I'm not entirely sure that GP players aren't just going to monopolize it.

Maybe they will on some of them but if Dan makes a bunch of different contests then I think that everyone would have a chance in the end.

I suppose so. But still I have my concerns. Maybe someone could suggest a competition where GP can't be used to help.
