This has probably been said before but...

We should have ground battles.
It would add alot more to the game. Your races could be what you use to fight,and their weapons and armor and stuff can be what is already researched. There would also be a limited amount of stuff you could use. Ground battles would be engaged in the NPC's section or Planet section. Each race would also have an effect on ground battles,not just ship battles. What do you guys think about this?

It could be an interesting aspect to add to planetary invasions, would mean there would be a lot more strategy than button-mashing and the RNG. I like this idea, it would also add another aspect of the game.

I like it.
Like someone said, it could make a nice addition to the Invasion aspect of the game.

hmm, what if you could allocate crew to increase your invasion chance ?

crew member required would vary depending on the planet type, and maybe the resource level ? successful invasion = crew returns. failed invasion = redshirts.

No, I like the way crew is at the moment, with only three and then later two real options for your rank points. Different type of crews would give me more hard choices and more headaches :cry:.
