as far as i know you get nothing if you are attacked i think you should get the enemy exp points for fending off an attack and a bonous

I'm not sure if I would like this. I mean a lot of players don't want to rank or want to rank on their own terms. This could rank them up before they are ready making them lose a lot of energy because of not taking off their relay's. Not only that but this would be free EXP which is not something Dan will do. He wants you to take longer ranking up not speed it up.

i dont like for eassy abuse also would not want to rank in my sleep cause a few people attacked me. How ever I do like the gernal idea . Maybe if we can find a way that cant be abused or harably back fire.

He wants you to take longer ranking up not speed it up. no its not free exp you are in a battle sometimes with 3 or 4 ships just saying you should get something out of it if you hold off attacks not nessarally exp SOMETHING, after all def is basically half the game in pvp anyways

i do like the concept of something for surviving but exp is certainly not it and it have to be guarded against abuse as much as possible.
back when medals came out there was a few to that effect, include one or two of my own. you can dig those up and see if anything is to your liking.

what about a badge for taking at least 1 hit instead, 1 badge per 24 hours per player that hit you, the badge being given out could be adjusted to give out if a certain amt of hull was removed off you by the same player or if their hit dropped your hull to 50% or lower, say 50% of your current max. hopefully people going after reds will prevent this from being abused as if you show up on bt with 0 disables left you can not be attacked.
this badge could be exchanged in the battle market for xp packs or equipment, this will let people get xp from being attacked but still let them slow rank if they wish to.
Also what do you do with your badges once you brought everything you ever wanted? credit packs for badges would be a nice idea.
Alot of actions in the game give badges which once we get enough of can be exchanged for equipment.

well if you die to someone's counter attack it does add to your player deaths, also dying to a base adds to your player deaths. something i did not figure out till i was at 26 deaths.

I like the idea in principle but wouldn't want to log in and find that I've ranked because someone has taken a bite out of my hull. I'd rather have an 'arena' or similar which players can enter to battle against other ships that are actually online. Rewards could be in the form of xp, credits, ctp, badges, whatever ... and I am sure something similar has been suggested before.
