It's not practical at all. It's something akin to having a 25ยข daily withdrawal limit from your bank (which is what happened in Zimbabwe for a time, when converting to US$, in order to (futilely) curb hyper-inflation.)

How would you feel if you had a daily withdrawal limit of no higher than your hourly pay?

Well, you probably feel the same way with the 1000 EM trading limit.

EM is too plentiful to sensibly cap it at 1000 per trade. Please raise it to 100,000. How would that hurt? It'll only help. Would anyone concur?

I think the problem is that Dan is having a hard time coding it to where only EM could be traded at 100k with all the rest still being at 1k. Would be interresting seeing someone try to sell 100k CTP, but that notwithstanding, yes. Please Raise the cap on EM trading in the GTC.

All arti's are 100 max its just ctp and EM that is 1000 max. I don't see the prob with changing one of them. lol

i dissagree. If you need more then 1k Em at a time your doing it wrong. Buy the 3 extra slots and u can have 5k em every 2 hours! 8-)

Think on the monopolies that would arise from such a move. Ships with more rank, cargo space, etc., or that are in legions that don't battle will have a chokehold on the auction block.

I need you to spell out your concern more fully than that. I don't understand how anyone selling as much as they want to of their current stock of an artifact or material would lead to a monopoly arising. They still only have a limited amount of auction slots, so it's not like they can dominate availability of all lot sizes even for one artifact or material, let alone monopolize the whole market. And unless I'm missing something, there is n such a widespread base of production that monopolies are simply not feasible. De Beers can't dominate if everyone can mine diamonds in their own backyards.

Do we have any expert coders amongst us players? One of us could (theoretically) help Dan code the EM limit for him. -Asheron
