I dont know about you but i would like this nice race in the game, something to give an edge, a tactical advanatage.

*Edits Colour*

For a name:The Impersonator

You properly guest right now, This new race is able to combine ANY 2 race or traits or race and traits.

How ever, becase this is very powerful, Players using this have a disavantage:

Invasion & Colonize costs Double
Invasion Timer Double

Attacking players with A same race or trait causes 20% (i dont know what amount) Extra damage
Attacking a player with a same race or trait causes 20% less damage
Invading a player planets with a same race or trait cause a 10% invasion deducition
A Player invading your planet with same race or trait recieves a 10% invasion increase

on the player profile for example it will say:

John Falls
The Elder

Rank 732 The Impersonator
(Xecti, Konqul) (for example)
Legion Name
Combat Reputation: Menacing


If players are worried about auto-ranks, dont be.
Firstly auto-ranks abusing this would be very weak from attacks.
There planets would have normal defensive no bonuses if they choose Inergon & Inergon.

Dan has already put barriers in place, how ever the prisoners / energy raises make stopping auto ranking near impossible.

Dan can always put changing to this "specail race" as 40 GP discoraging multiple switches.
And if you do get a wallet warroir player, dan will make a small profit to keep the game going for us guyz.

so the ONLY drawback is invasion costs and timer... what about those who dont steal.. theres ZERO drawback for those people

So the ONLY drawback is (insert drawback here)? What about those who don't (insert method which drawback affects).. there's ZERO drawback for those people.

Otherwise known as, you couldn't possibly put on drawbacks which would cause problems for everybody. It would make the race useless. So I'll have to disagree with you on that one.

Also, I believe that no matter who you are, you'll eventually have to steal something.

And by the way, if you read just a little further down, you'll notice there are more drawbacks... :idea:

3-5x upkeep anyone?
2x increased all timers (invade/hack/raid/repair/trade/share) anyone?
increased chance to BE crit hacked/raided anyone?

oh yeah, there could be drawbacks that affect everyone... And they don't have to be completely disabling.
And no, not everyone really steals, you can buy planets if you are rich enough. And the best planets usually can only be bought and not stolen due to super-cloak tactic.

Dan always Wants & NEEDS new ideas to spice up the game.

Research, designing, creating + image creating then planning then placing takes a long time.
New race needs a new chain, this idea could take 3 months or more to be applied!

How about just a hybrid that lets you pick 2 races and get 40% from each one.
Example
Inergon/Konqul
4% bonus to energy
8% bonus to attack

If a planet enhancing race is used extend the timer to 56 hours.
Drannik/Taltherian
urbanize with a 56 hour cooldown
16% bonus to npc attack

It would be 1.08^2-1 probably (as per current lazuli fixer forumla) 16.64%
In any case, the beauty of this kind of choice would be a player selectable combination, so net power wise I agree it should be below that of a pure race. Thou I'm willing to go to 45%.

True but to stand against many PVP races out there already, shouldn't it be atleast 75% of the skill.

Konqul, Fixer 20% attack, 30% hull.

Konqul, Konqul @ 75% = 15 + 15 = 30% attack.

I personally think it should be 85 maybe 90.

Lets say you did litheor + talth, does that mean you wait like that average of the time (10+40)÷2=20h and when you use the ability it would be a spabe probe and a urbanise, so if the planet is 15x megarich arti, you cnat put a probe on it? Or that it has 2 probes on it from two earlier ability uses, does that mean you cant urbanise because you cant put the probe on, or would it be two separate abilites

I'm not sure about litheor, but all 3 uplift race AND sab currently share the same timer, I suspect litheor does too.
What the timer does, atm, is record the time of last activation of such ability. An ability is locked out if the time sense last activation is less than its cooldown.

I think there is a misunderstanding.
What tree and I are talking about is a combinational bonus race WITHOUT a penalty, so that the overall TOTAL boost is less than that of a pure race.

On the other hand, if it have two boosts that are EACH weaker than that of pure but combine to be stronger than a pure race(as your konqul-konqul example have shown), then it would require a penalty as its stronger than any existing race. possible penalty option being already discussed to some extend. (On a side note, you would be surprised at how much CR some players pull in.... 3-5x upkeep wont make it useless, just high-end content)

Of course, an alternative would be making this combination a replacement for racial-class(which you seem to compare to), meaning that two race=no class. In that case it could also work with 75%. Specifically, Lazuli-Lazuli would be 89.0625% boost to hull while Lazuli Fixer will have 95% so it shouldn't be OP from a raw value comparison(thou there could be some rather powerful combo instead of a profession)

And again, % bonuses are NOT additive.

i see your point, but to have 100% race or trait bonus, there must be a downfall to this race like i sugguested in the orginal post.
The beauti of this is that people are moaning that theres not alot of XECTI and other races out there as it is.

Using this for a combining races or "hybrid" allows much more races on to the board making, disabling tasks on them easier.

It would also unlock a new tactical ball game, Power with in planets tath + tath.
Or power with in Weapons?

For the disadvantage 100% combining i think the orginal disavantages cut the mustard, dont you think?
