 Edit Halc Trap commands.

Can we change that Halc sets off before kriv, cause i'm wasting nulls on players with kriv and halcs.

But i've been thinking, there already is a way to turn passive with calming amps.
So with halcs can it be edited that when tripped instead of being passive as calming amps do that.

Halc traps increase defenses by 3 times, Even 4 times.
Means PVP will increase but still be difficult for players to disabled maxed out defense players with halcs effect.

-1, I like the traps the way they are now. You simply need to anticipate the halcs(trap probes), and make sure you have a good supply of nulls.

I dislike Halc traps, they just waste to much of mine and anyone elses energy.

I posted all that and highlighted all the halc traps to show how many are using them.
This means battle tab badges are so much more harder to obtain.

Halc + PVP = useless sport.

Any way i've ran out of energy for today so no more of my log will be posted.

Your log shows what traps you tripped, it is not an accurate reflection of who you were able to kill or who you hit that was running 0 traps.

Halcyon traps are not an issue, there are varied and easy ways to tell if someone might have a halcyon trap on them. If you don't want to "waste the energy" then it may be in your best interest to waste 5 seconds and see if their actions are above 3 5 5 or use a trap probe.

And to your point on halc + pvp being a useless sport, have you ever really stopped to think about it? If a ship is pathetically weak, what's the one thing they can do that will really stick it to those powerful ships tearing their way through the galaxy? Oh that's right, the great equalizer, the halcyon trap. Halcyon is pvp. It may not be combat, but it is pvp. Get used to it cause it's not going anywhere.

People are free to use traps however they like. It might annoy you, but that might be their intention.
It's a double edged sword, using KVT before halc will also 1. drain their supply faster and 2. weaken their defense. But if they choose to do so, they should be allowed to.

You are trying to "hurt" them by disabling and most likely raiding them, why are they not allowed to hurt you back?

I too dislike finding ppl with KVT-halc in BT, but as much as I don't like it, I think it's a fair tactic that they have the right to use.

So out of all that crap you posted you hit about 30halcs. Only about half of which came after a kvt.
If you can't come up with 15 nulls at your rank maybe you should focus on getting your arti up.

Either that or do like everyone else said and take two extra seconds to look at who your hiring and maybe bump them.

All i want is the halc trap first, so it sets off in the first few attacks.
No wasted nulls, 15 energy lossed.

Instead i spent upto 300-400 energy, got hallow, kriv, omic, threats. all before halc.
so i wasted some times double nulls + 400 energy for what?

All the players who had halc traps set off, i wasn't able to kill.
That means 50% or so of people made me waste energy for nothing.


Plus A, theres calming amps for passiveness.

B, theres the max cap limit for all players.

c, if the halc trap was changed to 3,4. maybe even 5 or 6 times defense making it near impossible to disable people.
Aswell the players would take advantage of this by maxing out there defenses.

Krivs are 90%+ always tripped before halc, wasting nulls and energy.

Aswell the players would take advantage of this by maxing out there defenses. Not all players want to max out of defense, or even install any defense; they choose to play without it and protect themselves with Halcyon traps. Multiplying your defense won't mean much if your defense is atrocious. On top of this, some players may abuse the system by getting their halcyons set off before NPCing or hitting bases with their new massive defense.

Krivs are 90%+ always tripped before halc, wasting nulls and energy.


That's a biased statement.
Fact is, if they have halc and KVT on, you will either trip KVT first or not trip it at all. w/o probing, you can NEVER tell if they have halc first and KVT second. And even with probing, you might not know if there is a KVT behind the halc

Per target, it's very unlikely to lose more than 100 energy. Frankly, if someone use all traps, there is a huge chance that he will be disabled before his halc actually trips.

Thus far in this thread, you have not provide any reason why KVT should be behind halc other than the fact that it "annoys and waste energy for the attacker“
And I shall state this slowly and clearly.
The defender, being the offended party in an offensive action have the right to "annoy and waste energy of" the offending party, the attacker.
Therefore, your one and only reason for the suggestion is null and void.
You cannot expect someone to welcome you with open doors when you try to rob their house. You can perfectly expect locked doors, alarm systems and in some states, booby traps and shotgun in the face.
