First off, many thanks for the new interesting elites that have been added in the last month. they're a breath of fresh air.

Now on to the suggestions and ideas. I know this has been mentioned before many times but I think its time for a revisit. There are several npcs that have an upper level limit that fill a critical roll in the game but are not replaced after the old npc goes away. Most important is the T.O. Troop Carrier. The number of players over 2200 is only going to go up as long as people don't leave for lack of content. Please please please consider adding a new npc to replace troop carriers and other rare/extremely rare npcs in addition to adding elite/bosses. If this is at all too difficult, please just up the max level that can find these npcs.

Thank you for your time,
Gallin

No, most people are probably going to stop caring at 2,200 and leave with things as they are. Many will not care to make it to 2,200 we have had a few players upper ranks leave this past month. If we all leave Dan will not have to worried about upper rank contain. I say leave as is. Get as many upper ranks to leave or Semi retire.

While I can't imagine sticking around that long, what would the point of encouraging long-time players to leave be?

Is that really the plan, weed players out through attrition? Once you reach 2200 you have essentially beat the game? The top 50th rank is around 1450 whereas last year it was 800 or so. In a years time, all current top 50's will reach 2200. Either there will be a mass protest or they will feel cheated. I myself would like to continue playing a more active role, but am still semi-retired until the game drastically changes. The new boss npc's are a great addition, now we need the return of the good solo npc's. Pretty please with a cherry on top Dan?

+1 to the rank ranges of Troop Carriers being extended. As well as the other NPC's that disappear at rank 2200.

I say a rank extension, because a new NPC will undoubtedly be harder to find, then it would again be a disadvantage for those above rank 2200.

Also Dan, could you please push the rank ranges of all the new NPC's you've introduced, to rank 9999, until your ready to introduce a new NPC to replace them.

Pretty much everything dissapears after 2200. Troop carriers, stryll ships that drop the 5% scan buff, blade harvesters, dark arms carriers, etc. Its a sad day when you get there. I made the mistake of putting a lot more than i should have into energy and finishing all of the missions while ranking quickly. As people start loosing planets, they wont have anything to replenish good lost planets with. Its nearly impossible enough to find a good enemy planet while scanning as it is. how many of us go through 1k scans to find an average 3x at best? We still need some type of function to be able to nurture our planets.

Those go away a lot earlier than 2200, I haven't seen one since probably 1200 or maybe 1000.

I'd love to dump energy into our base but all those added ranks is just that many more troop carriers I will miss out on.

As a player who will be reaching 2200+ shortly, I emphatically +1 this.

Whether it is new NPCs or extended existing ones, would be nice to have something to help build up existing planets, especially since so much of my ranks were from base donating. I missed out on a LOT of NPCing for the sake of my training legion(s).

If everything just goes at 2,200. due to what ever reason. Why dont we all chip in and campaign for it to be done?

What if the Stryll ship was upgraded and brought back with a 10% scanning artifact.
To combat this bring in a new Dark badges item that increases cloaking planets by 15%.
It costs 900 Badges or so.

Bring back Troop carriers with a twist, theres a 10% chance you'll get double terraformers drop.

Recreate dark armies carriers, Drops; Temp flux orbs, Planet Flux, New artifact maybe?

All that start from rank 2,200 to 4,000. Dan use rewarded loyal members.

I think thats too much to ask for, though it does sound good. We just need rank extensions in the same way they were done to queens and fab plants, thats all. In a years time all the top 50 would have reached 2200+, in 2 years time if nothing is done and rank inflation keeps coming in naturally, the game will be dead...not that its not on a downfall already

not at all too much to ask for. hey, why are people being punished for ranking up? It gives GL a VERY negative outlook as....essentially in the long run ranking will destroy you. thats stupid.

not at all too much to ask for. you high ranks put in so much time....to be rewarded with what exactly after reaching an uber high rank? :ugeek:

I say Dan should concentrate on more normal NPCs for 1000-5000?? after he done the bosses.

Its mainly troops carriers what makes the game tick.

Ultimately, Dread, matched NPCs are the way to go - perhaps with high cloaking to bias it towards the high ranks to see it. So long as they don't do a TO Troop Carrier and randomly disappear at some point, you won't drop them and all ranks get new content. And so, matched NPCs will forever be a great solution. Just... no dropping at 2200... I don't know why the developers made it do so, since as far as my knowledge goes, he had to explicitly code it to do that, or rather, put in the database that they end at 2200 (as opposed to 9999).

*shrugs*
