 idea for a Base Artifact

Legion Base Time Vortex (Base Artifact - so it can be used by ANY base member, not just the ones able to donate)
Instantly advances the legion base by 1 day, adding 10% Base Defender Bonus, up to 100%. Also increases a base's shield capacity and hull integrity by 5, regardless of current Base Defender Bonus.
***** This will hopefully stop players from quitting the game just cause their legions randomly (?) get disabled way too often.

Comes from a DAILY mission, AND can only be used on a base once per day by each player (so someone cannot hoard these for another base)
REQUIREMENTS: 10 rounds per completion.
Each round costs: 10 energy and 1 Planetary Time Vortex?
***** A low priced mission cost will hopefully make newer and lower ranked active players a valuable addition to mid-range legions.

also on the BASE, add it in STATS:
Attack #####
Defense #####
Base Disables ##
Vortexes Used ##

also MAYBE, a certain number of vortexes unlocks things like base abilities or other base missions?
also MAYBE, one of the missions it unlocks is another DAILY mission that gives a "+1 day" to a player for Loyalty purposes. But that one can ONLY be used on the members who are not yet loyal (to prevent people from gaining false seniority within the legion).
also MAYBE, add it to the Leaderboard for bases. There's Rank Score, Strength Score ... add Activity Score!

Well... I really hope these are liked by others, and are implemented eventually..

Just saying, but the more vortexes you use, there should be PENALTIES, not rewards.

In any case, no. Then there would be no consequence to base disables, and people wouldn't bother defending.

In any case, no. Then there would be no consequence to base disables, and people wouldn't bother defending.

No, that's just wrong. That's like saying "because of Repair Nanodrones, people won't bother defending their ships".
There MUST be a way to lessen the current "penalty" of 10 days worth of production losses. Especially since now-a-days, the uber powerful WILL take your base down no matter how much defense you have on it. And lower level bases (4 and 5) with players that need that base production the most are the ones that end up losing out, cuz they can't even buy maximum defenses .. and certainly can't afford them. SO, it would be nice to have a way to countermand a base disable.

HELL, make Base Defender Bonus go up by "10% minus Current Base Level". That way a low level base can go back to its max production easily, while it would take some serious teamwork and MORE vortexes for a high level base to do the same. I've just seen too many little guys quit :(

its not 10 days of loss, its 10 days of a LESSENED amount. maybe if your legion didnt suck and get disabled often, then they wouldnt be complaining. by all means, send your cry baby members my way, weve only been disabled a few times.

I would suggest that the increase be only 5% with a restriction that for every time vortex used, the base does NOT get the full 10% until the regular 10 day cycle is complete, without disables of course.

IE if 10 people use base vortexs, then the base bonus is at 50% and thats where it stays for 10 days... its the tradeoff you get for restoring it so quickly.

Well, you lose an average of 5 days production when disabled. We (at level 5) don't get disabled that often (11 times in ~6 months - mostly towards the beginning, since focus has since shifted to level 6 bases). To do this, I agree that there would have to be a pretty serious drawback - perhaps a temporary loss of stats (-20% attack/defense)

Absolutely not. The Defender Bonus is a BONUS. Therefore it must be EARNED by not being disabled. Under no circumstances should there ever be a short-cut of any kind.

icarium81, stop whining about people whining, especially when they're not even talking about themselves. MY legion has disabled the same lvl 8 legion, at least 3 times in 1 month. It disabled another legion twice in 1 day, and that one was INSANELY well protected. I personally didn't even feel bad about those legions cause they contained high level members that don't depend on production. But those disables gave me the idea that the bonus can be increased with an artifact, not just with time. It's an IDEA not a complaint and certainly not whining. Stop throwing personal insults and making false assumptions just because you don't like an idea. Grow up

Darth Flagitious, I agree that the bonus should be earned. However, planetary Production Bonus is also a BONUS. And yet we have Planetary Time Vortex artifacts. Similarly with base bonus, would be nice if it could be earned in MORE than just one way.

If noone likes it, oh well. It was just an idea.
