Someone must have brought this up already.... but I am not searching for all the possible phrasings of it.
Call it a proximity sensor or detection mines what have you. At the cost of AP of course the base alerts the entire legion to a ship that has attacked the base during a lock. The members can then attack that ship AND BYPASS any halc or calming amp it may have on for the duration of the base lock. This would let bases actively defend themselves and get around the halcing of ships when hitting a base. Would make it a lot more more fun too.
It would actually be possible to stop your base from being disabled.... epic concept!

Not to mention you can already "actively defend" by "actively" using base abilities. You can also scour the BT for members of the legions that locked your base and CM/Disable them that way. Without them being spoon fed to you.
Downsides and pointlessness?
1. Message log spam. You want 30-60 player alerts spamming you and lagging down the game?
2. What would it accomplish? Chances are your base dies in under 2 hours. Many die in under 30 minutes, by the time you target, debuff and disable 5 attackers your base is dead anyways. (if you can even disable them see #3)
3. Your base is already getting slaughtered, what good will alerting the rank 750+'s do to a legion populated by sufficiently lower ranks?
your base is going to get disabled, you need to learn to live with it. Or join a legion with a stronger base.
