Post subject: | Have a concurrent population reading of all players... |
...currently playing Galaxy Legion. Even though Omegle isn't exactly a game site, it shows concurrent population numbers. It looks something like, "29,114 strangers online." I wonder what our current population counts are, and so do an untold amount of others. If a population count could be displayed on a corner of the GL screen, that would do okay. - Asheron |

Well, it's not an obviously bad suggestion, and I guess it could have some strategic advantages with base battles, planet invasions etc. +0, I think. |

If anything it should tell you how many active players are playing this game, not whether they are online or offline. |

While this isn't a god aweful idea like a lot of your ideas are. But I don't see why this should be implimented. |

Besides the ads Dan makes are good at attracting a steady flow of newbies, but most of them leave because of all the complexity thrown at their faces. |

you can already get a rough estimate by looking at the app in the search filter. atm it says 10k+ monthly users. |

So really this number fluctuates from being fairly high during the day times in the various North American (most of the players are in this area) timezones, to being really low when it's night time in these areas. So yeah, I wouldn't go on a major invitation rush to bring these numbers up in the middle of the night. |

I like this idea, it's like an 'easter egg'. I've sometimes wondered how many Flamehawks have been smashed up by everyone, and what the total amount of Cloning Pods gained from AP shipments is. The aesthetics are far easier to implement that the actual content. I have nothing against this idea. |

It's not an important add on, and I'd be damned to figure out where actually to place it....but all in all, it would be cool to know how many people we're online at the time, or how many "Active" players are on the server. It could even spawn milestone daily rewards, like some super special daily reward when we hit 20k active players, 50k active players, 100k active players.... More incentive to try harder to recruit friends or family members into playing. +0.5 |
