Unnamed Energy Module:
Size:20 Energy: 50 Special: Grants new ability: Energy Overcharge
Energy Overcharge: Grants 200 energy when used. Cooldown Timer: 60 hours
Purpose of this idea is to provide emergency energy when needed to complete a task with a limited time frame.

-1, A better solution to an energy crisis is to keep a stockpile of silthion energy sacs, energy cubes, and/or trimatrixes.

I like the idea, but I think the recharge should be 168 hours (1 week). That would make sure that you did not waste it thoughtlessly, because you would always want to save it up and save it up, thinking there might be a better situation in which it could be used within the next week. +1

The problem with that (for nrg refills) can be best explained via scenario: Say you only were close to rank up. And using an nrg refill at this point would be a waste. Let's also say your max energy is 3k. When you use that nrg refill and attempt a mission, or a disable etc. you would end up with a surplus energy of about 2.7k - 2.9k. You could donate the 2k nrg to the base and waste 700 energy. Or if you were NPCing and didn't take into account the XP bonus for disabling an NPC (because you used a refill) you've lost about 2.6k energy. If you used the energy boost to gain 200 energy and you were close to rank up you could have saved a crucially important refill and perfectly utilize the energy ability.

That's where you would just use the energy sacs.

And what if you get bumped out of an NPC slot?

Then you shouldn't have attacked in the first place without having the energy to complete a lock.

Back to the original point. This idea has some level of use.

How could this possibly add strategy? It sounds like another safety net/shortcut/ make it easier for me suggestion

I see it removing more strategy, along with being unneeded.
