In honor of everyone's favorite thing to do, their taxes, maybe there should be some irs npcs for people to kill. If for nothing else the satisfaction, otherwise maybe an item the would temporarily allow you to pay no tariff on selling minerals. Just a thought especially since people aren't fond of the tax man.

Sounds like fun. When one of the Common NPCs spawn, they take 25% of your credit balance. Clicking Attack on them causes the "random" ability called *Audit* which lags your game for 3 weeks and determines you owe the Galactic Government so much in back-taxes that they take ownership of your 3 best planets (automatically abandons for 10GP and auto-purges them). Timer expires at 11:59 GST April 15th.

just have a daily reward on april 15th which lowers taxes to 0%. It would be something useful to save up for those that do not have a rootnode, or for those that do have a rootnode and want to save an additional 10% if they stocked up on their mineral pulls

ugh
celebrating the irs and taxes... this sounds wrong....
make a 1 day supervillain npc instead that depletes your credits based on random hits. Killing the elite gets you a second elite to pop up as well as special arties....
Off shore Bank - gives a % production bonus. For giggles you can make blockades more likely on the planet its posted on too.

Don't forget, it must be progressive and punitive to larger ships to make it FAIR.
