Ok so I saw another topic had some ideas on fighters and familiars. Now I like the idea that they are different. familiars are more like a more advanced version of the fighter as they don't take up deck space. I see it as a fighter needs to dock with the mother ship where a familiar is more independent and therefore doesn't need any space. So I was thinking that you could have two types of missions one for fighters and one for familiars. You should meet various qualifications based on the familiars stats. I know they have various ways to upgrade them another thought is using ct parts to upgrade them, maybe not 100% but as a side "cost" of leveling them up. While the fighter or familiar is off on a mission it wouldnt help your ship and it would take real time or possibly have a requirement that you spend X amount of energy on missions or other activities. Thoughts are welcomed! =D |

If you are familiar with stargate you can compare fighters to a F302 (human space fighter, docks with the ships which carrie.. idk like 20? 10 per bay?..) And a familiar would be like a goauld cargo ship/bomber/scout (pretty much the same except the size), which is way to large to fit inside a ship, have their own life support, supplies, hypserspace... ship in a bottle, just a small version of the mothership wthout bays As for familiar missions +1 Fighter missions -1, there is more than enough GP only content |

ah good input...I figured a fighter might be able to qualify for a low level familiar mission that way it wouldnt all be gp based missions and would kind of be a hook to get players to get more familiars |
