It's very disheartening that my legion is only 2 active members away from the minimum required to access this new content.
Dan, can you change it to requiring only 10 active members. It's not fair to be limited on what you can do just because you would rather make a legion with your friends (one that can't conceivably compete with all the training legions that keep popping up).
Now before anyone tells me that it's my choice to be in a small legion, My rebutal is that Dan is effectively punishing those who work hard to build their own base (as opposed to those silver spooners who dive into a lvl 5-6 base from the very start.)

And the complaints start...
Really, a minimum of 15 members is already only 30% of a full legion of 50. 25% of a potential 60 members. There has to be some cutoff point. Drop it to 10 and someone is going to complain that their 9 man legion can't participate. A line has been drawn. Accept it.

Everyone in my legion has been active for over a year. Any valid reason why we shouldn't be allowed access to this new content?
why should someone who's only been playing 2-3 weeks get to join in on these new missions, but people who've been playing alot longer have to miss out because we won't leave our legion for a larger one?
One thing that I'm curious about, is the fact that on the news page it says "Legion Missions are now available to eligible legions of 15+ active members." where as on the module, it says "Legions should have atleast 15 members to use"
Which is it? that we don't get access till 15? or that we can start them, it's just not recommended?

Is it really that difficult to get 15 members?

If you legion is so good then getting a few more members shouldn't be a problem you need 15+ active members as well not just 15 total i see not everyone in your legion is active though.
also you will need 200 billion credits and 2.5k ctp to install the module

last 3-4 times I've made a recruitment thread on the forum, it's gone essentially ignored.
everytime I officer comm a smaller legion with a few active people, it gets ignored.
what chance does a lvl 5 base have when there are people like Namalak going around building lvl7 bases for new players?
Also spaceman, I never said "my legion is soooo good", I said that I wasn't going to leave a legion i built from the ground up just because of this.

Might want to try it I had been thinking of doing that for a while, one of my other leaders has already done that a few months ago but all of the people we gained from that started going inactive and were eventually kicked.

Maybe there should be some content thats released and intended for smaller legions instead? That would prevent people from just joining power legions and milking in the benefits from being 'tweaked' by their high level legionmates.
Perhaps a different module thats for legions with less than 15 players, that's smaller/cheaper and has toned down missions or something.
Releasing content that requires people to be 'power gamers' only makes the casual ones quit.

It would be better if Dan would do some of the legion search suggestions so there would be less 1 man legions popping up and would funnel more players to active legions then the small legions who end with just a few active members a month after they start.

Small legions are bad for everyone in them. - less planet legion bonus
- less planet alerts
- less support in PVP
- less of an artifact buffer for those suddenly rare artifacts required by a new mission
- less ability to scan for and disable bases
- less NPC elites alerted, and elites last longer making NPC runs more tedious
If there were downsides to being in a large active legion, I would say, sure maybe the legion mission bar would need to be lower. But the fact is there are large legions for all kinds and ranks of players, and the fact that so many players choose to stay in small legions despite all the downsides and no apparent (at least to me) upsides is baffling.

everytime I officer comm a smaller legion with a few active people, it gets ignored.why would officers and leaders defect?
what chance does a lvl 5 base have when there are people like Namalak going around building lvl7 bases for new players?only 60 players can fit in his legion and so far he's made 2 (total 120 members) lots of them still available.
Also spaceman, I never said "my legion is soooo good", I said that I wasn't going to leave a legion i built from the ground up just because of this. Then you need to learn how to recruit if you want it to stay alive The best way to recruit is to go through your bt and post, Check out my legion! on every comm. add in stats, etc. Have your 10 members do the same thing. Nothing brings people to a legion like a direct invite. It's worked every time for me.

There are plenty of players who are dissatisfied with their legion and would take the opportunity to find a new one. No betrayal about it, unless they also tried to sabotage the base on there way out - something few would probably do.

Then they should be looking for a legion not waiting for someone to drop them a post.
