I would like to put forth the following suggestion and change to the Trellith Influence .

I would like to see it the ability automatically be replaced on the planet of your choice every 72 with the ability to stop it. Below is the addition I would like to see added to the bottom of the ability page since it would probably be used most infrequently. I would suggest that a 24 hour cool down be added to it being used again AFTER it is taken off a planet. And of course, if you lose the planet with the influence, you would not keep adding it every 24 hours.

Reasoning, most people will put the Trellith Influence on a planet, then on a second, finally on a third. They will keep repeating this sequence ad nausium for a long time (or until they get a better planet.

The only change I think would be useful (thought of after making and uploading the image), would be to add the whether the current Trellith Influence is Mining, Artifact or Research. It could say, Amaerltith, type: Rift, boost: Artifact.

This should have no negative effects on how this works and a positive effect on the game as a whole.

+1 from me gets kind of repetitive having to put the same boost on the same planet month in month out.

Had a friend boost mining during the work week since he would cap on artifact either way.

This is just an automated process for something entirely repetitive and super annoying because it runs on a 24 hour timer.
While I would certainly enjoy having this, I just don't see Dan wanting to do this for us.

I'd be happy just getting the ability time to drop to a 23 hour cooldown.

If no one asks, it won't happen.

Automating entirely repetitive and super annoying tasks helps keep people. Annoying is what causes people to leave...

I see it more as repetitive and super annoying gets ignored by less active/caring people.

It is like the Q-Pedd Assembly Line ability to add scientists, it is repetitive and annoying so there are probably more people each day deciding to not do it.
The few who keep on now have a daily advantage. Tiny advantage but an advantage none the less.

I tend to agree with Tree. While this change would be kinda nice since I'm constantly forgetting to use the Trellith ability, I just don't see Dan eliminating a reason to log on and play.

Just a thought, since the module abilities on the use ability tab show the countdown timer after the ability has been activated wouldn't it make sense if the player abilities showed the timer as well. Make it a little bit easier to keep track of. I only have Trellith so have no idea if others do, but atm it's just a grey useless button.

Bumping this but with an idea...

What about small GP costs to permanently 'buy' automation?

5 GP buys you this automated Trellith Influence (for 3 planets).
2 GP buys you automated scientist collection from both the Q-Pedds.
2 GP buys you automated helmsman collection from the Cybernetic Helm Connection.

It is a strategy game, and automating this will just create another reason for people to not come back again and again.
