well the title really says it all, i think there should be an artifact that cuts the invasion costs of planets in half. invasion cost gets ridiculous very fast, and if there was like a legion mission with an artifact that cut the cost in half that would be awesome.

+1/2, some type of effect like this would be nice. Ship mod with an ability with a 3 day cooldown or so? New profession for a future race?

-1, If you can afford the invasion you dont need it. You should work on your MP if your having issues.

You can lower your invasion cost with GP just abandon a few planets

I'd rather the colonization/invasion cost formula be reworked to something a little more realistic. Everything else in this game increases linearly but colonization cost increases exponentially.

And weapons experts don't use expert weapons to conquer planets cheaply?

Good idea for a small mod with a ability with a 1 week cooldown or so, nothing special, not overpowered, still nice at times

The simplest idea by far. 108b invades aren't so bad think the highest guys are nearing 3x that already.

Darth and Fire blade make Good points. 200billion to invade is .. ya. No amount of MP reasonably increase covers that. Mostly cause your MP planets start costing you more than there going to make. Fail idea is no to bad. a Cool down arty . I would prefer a 48 or 64 hour cool down I think a week is a little much.

The problem is the method of growth of the cost, it's cubic. There will always be a point where occupying a new mining planet would take 5 years to pay off, even if it can pump out 2k mineral per hour. Granted I doubt anyone is even remotely close, but some ppl might be close to taking a year to pay off a 1k/mineral per hour one. There seriously comes a point where buying planets (and hence a colonization and so half the cost) will be cheaper than invading one.... That's about the only thing that a invade discount whatever will change.

It is fine as is. Just be pickier about what planets you take.
