A few days ago I noticed that I am not seeing the good NPCs anymore. So I have been killing NPCs all morning, literally hundreds and been keeping track of which ones that come up

XRP-Prototype (only 1 though and I already have my limit of battery packs)
Dark Trafficker
Dark Runner
Sha'din Charger
Silthion Queen (only 1)
Stryll Trapper
Scruuge Carrier
Sha'din Shockfighter

Noticeably missing are the
Luzuli Factories (I used to get dozens)
The Dark Factories
Silthion Hive
All the Terran ships
Stryl Prisons

I'm at 614. I have 2 prisons and 1 hive on my npc battle tab. First prisons in a long while, but I get too many hives. Up to 4 on my tab before. My point is that sometimes you go through a run where you just don't get certain npc's for awhile.

Have you seen any factories? Or Terrans? I used to get tons of those and not seen any.

You might have leveled past them when you hit rank 600. Keep at it you might discover some new ones. Then again Dan might not have come up with any new one's for this level range yet. Ask PSIcore, he's rank 766 so he should know. Then again you might just be having a bad run.

We need new NPC's for higher levels in any case, the game desperately needs a content update....

I agree.. Plus Hive seems is most common than any other NPC bosses for high rank players and I'm already sick of them.. It would be nice to see many new high ranked NPCs coming out but more sophisticated and tiered NPC battles.

Now that you have mentioned it Kaos, I realize I haven't seen or been alerted to a factory in several days. I'm guessing we moved out of their range, which is a shame since I love the lazulii titans.

The only boss style NPCs I have seen are the XRP prototye, the dark factory and the sithlion queen. Everything has has disappeared.

Think of it as a balancing act.

People who level up too fast will have to wait for all the other "regular pace" leveling people to catch up, then Dan will release more NPC's when more players hit the 400+ level range. Why make new NPC's for like 10 - 15 level 600+ players? All that effort for just a dozen players while there's tens of thousands of players who are still under level 300?

Not even, there are only 5 people that high of a level.

I know. I'm just referring to the fact that there'll be 10 - 15 new level 600+'s in the next month or two. While within the same time span, we'll still see people slowly level. Most people might level once a day (if good exp and NPC's and stuff) or slower (casual players). It'll probably take until the spring for more level 200's and 300's to really make Dan stand up and take notice that we need more high level NPC's.

Why put in all the time and effort to benefit 5 - 15 extreme high level players, when similiar time and effort can be put into improving other aspects of the game like legions, new planets, new artifacts, etc? Its the extreme high level players responsibility that they leveled up too fast, and now they're kinda paying the price.

Doesn't matter.. Sooner or later, more and more players will eventually going into where Kaos is. If there is no end-game or high end contents, players will start to lose interest and GL will start to lose its momentum. I had seen that so many times in various MMOs.. It's CRITICAL to keep GL to KEEP its momentum going by keeping them interested by delivering contents to them.

If Dan cannot do all, he can simply create a developer team to be able to cover all facets of GL improvements in timely manner. He certainly got money for it.. If he won't, then GL would start to die a slow death.. Because there will be "better" GL versions coming out soon to FB and other platforms that will outshine GL IF GL didn't get improved FAST enough.. I hope that Dan wouldn't be dumb enough to let it to happen..

I always love to play games that shows great progression in short time.. GL did great at the beginning but lately it was mostly fixes.. We need new contents now especially at high rank area as well as all rank range areas..

Key word.. MUST KEEP MOMENTUM GOING FOR GL. Can't slow it down. Bad idea.. That is very reason why Mark Zuckerberg SCREAMED when FB very brief shutdown might happen. He said that FB CANNOT shutdown even for 1 second.. It's simply cuz once FB loses its momentum in this extremely heated competition would lose out forever...

Yeah, we're saying "sooner or later," whereas other people are just saying "sooner."

Bold emphasis = mine.

I'm a longtime gamer as well. However, problems do arise if a good dev drops the ball and delegates to a team of dev's who DO NOT share the same vision, ideas, drive, and goals as the original dev. That is why quite a few game or movie sequels suck, because of different team of dev's, companies, directors, etc. If these sequels kept the exact same dev / producer and the exact same team, those sequels or expansions would be much better and true to their original game / movie.

I'm just saying that if Dan does delegate, and then if the team isn't enthuastic or support GL the way that Dan and the fans do, GL *WILL* die.

Yes, its definitely time for some new elites/bosses at the post-300 range. These will be coming very soon, likely within a weeks time.

Good to hear that! But I would like to suggest to make NPC encounters a bit more exciting than what it is now.. Such as tiered approach NPC battles or allows hack and raid role to be useful against NPCs.. Right now, hack and raid are only for PVP..

So specialized hackers and raiders along with their profession finally have reason to stick to their chosen professions when it comes to NPC farmings.. Tiered based NPC battles could produce some needed strong hackers/raiders to achieve specific steps to allow rest of us to finish it off for example.. The reward should be bigger because it requires team-work and little more strategy involved and might require more energy to kill that npc.. Anything that makes NPC encounters more exciting would be good than it is right now so far..

I like the sound of that. Using Hackers as an example, they could have unique options, like temporarily shutting down an enemy weapon or shield emitter on elite NPC's.

In practice, people with the Hacking profession could have a Hack option next to the Attack button (Or Attack could even be replaced by Hack). It could use 5 energy like attacking, but the Hack would cause no physical damage to the enemy at all. Instead, there would be a chance of causing the effects that I mentioned above. So for other legion members, it would be like having extra Artifacts on the enemy.

Of course, since Hacking would do no damage in the above example, this would mean Hackers would have reduced chances (Or even no chance) of getting on the top damagers lists, so the lists would need to be altered, either by having a top hackers board in addition to the top damagers board, or by adjusting the top damagers board somehow. There could even be unique rewards that would only be available to Hackers, so for example where damagers that are fighting against a Vortul, Crimson Carrier, can get Vortul Platings or Vortul Blast Phasers, Hackers could instead get a Vortul Cloaking Grid.

This would allow players to get rewards that are more suited to their play style, and allow for far more specialisation in the game. Oh, but it would also need to be decided what happens to these unique modules when a player changes professions of course. But that's just details and i'm simply spawning ideas. :P
