Idly hammering away at an NPC one day the notion occurred to me "Wouldn't it be nice if, as well as enemies, the battle tab occasionally threw up a derelict for salvage (i was thinking of players who haven't logged on in months) allowing the recovery of an omicron injector, computer or other equally useful device, or a grateful crew eager to join your own ship." Talking to someone else a home planet was mentioned, a base safe from invasion... What does everyone think? |

+1 to the derelicts. they would have to be a quitter tho. but i think it would be cool to have more of the mission rewards. although it people could salvage the limit of 10 omicron injectors then their energy recharge rate would be at -38 seconds. lol. i'm all for the AI computers, crew members, and looted modules tho! |

+1 Yea no energy things tho i love my energy recharge rate and would like to have more being able to put a bunch on not so much. The mission items great idea except for some of them shouldn't. Crew I think would be the better way and some modules. |

I like this idea too. Perhaps there could be fights or derelict equipment. They could be quite the nice finds. |

I wouldn't mind even an NPC that dropped crew. Rescued Crew: +3 Tactical Officers, +3 Helmsmen Rescued Scientists: +5 Scientists |

Nothing says that it has to be better than the artifact reward. Either of them are worth more to me than another module I can't use. The Rescued Crew is equal to 3 RP, the scientists 1.5 RP. Either of them are worth more than complex parts. |

A salvage type thing would be fun. It also makes sense. In such a galactic community, there should be lots of trashed ships floating around. |
