Ok so i have this idea of personal crafting. I had a few ideas on how to do this...
1) Give every research tier a new category. 2) it needs either a ship module to access the new crafting or a planet based artifact to access the new crafting. 3) Im thinking it would be maybe a little different from regular crafting. You get to try to mix and match...let me explain...
You want to build a ship module. Primary stat is lets say energy and a secondary effect you want attack. You need the research done for the energy and the weapon to get the mods open to you. Then you have to try to design it and then once discovered it can be constructed.
As far as the mix in match i think the way i would set it up is you can only make a ship mod (for example) thats Energy as its primary stat and then X (any other stat other then energy) But then you cant use energy as a primary bonus anymore

Sure we want more research, Dan knows that so this thread is quite useless like the other 100 unless you add actual content like modules/stats/names etc
But a +1 to more research ofcourse
