Post subject:  New Crew Members

Since there are crew that produce research there should also be crew that produce artifact and mining. Right now, planets are everything and are the basis of any good ship. Without planets, your ship will lag behind others very soon. This update will reduce the importance of planets and introduce many new ship builds. You might think this is OP but +0.1 AP/h isn't going to break the game anytime soon.
If you get 10 prisoners a day, and ignore your energy and attack stats and put them all in factory workers, you will only get +3 AP/h per day which is hardly anything. Even if you get 50 prisoners per rank, you will only increase your AP/h by 15 per rank which equals 60 every 4 ranks. Since an artifact planet dishes out 150-250 AP/h and you can colonize new planets every 4 ranks, the increase from crew won't hurt the game.

Asteroid Miner
1 Rank Point for 1 Miner
+1 Mining/h



Factory Worker
1 Rank Point for 1 Worker
+0.1 Artifact/h
Is a lot less because AP/h is very important.

i dont think it will be hard to do with out out being Pointless to much of a loss or at the point whee is becomes to over powered.


unless its like 1 Rank point adds 4 crew each crew adds one half rounded down AP point. But that would probaly be to much to.

How about Tactical Officers on a ship that doesn't have guns? they still increase the player's attack~ that's just as ridiculous as miners on a ship.

All ships come with standard weaponry, rail guns. Everything you then have to research/buy/install is just upgraded weaponry.

The T.os get in space suits and shut out the windows with there blasters, Like CJ from GFA!. 20,ooo laser blast add up even if there weak.

I don't get how to do quotes but yeah a miner on a ship makes no sense, but a tactical officer on a ship with no guns does. The officer would do what they can with what they have perhaps using available debris or something to harm the other ship. Its a nice idea but needs to be worked on.

Sooooo, you're saying that they get out of their ship, fly over(Without getting hit by the other player's cannons AND their own T.Os), then punch the ship and potentially outstrip the damage output of a full compliment of cannons?

i like this idea of punching giant spaceships apart with thousands of TO's. wonder what those little guys actually look like...
