Planetary System Enhancements

 General thread to start a discussion about the Planet system. In my opinion it is one of the more expandable elements of the game and I want to here peoples thoughts on the matter.
PLEASE DON'T TELL PEOPLE THERE IDEA IS STUPID just give them a counterproposal, and try to stick with +1s if you feel you need to. My most recent Idea is to have planetary systems AKA solar systems with yours, unoccupied, and enemy planets. Not sure how this would look because I havent thought through it fully. Thoughts? |

I can see this being modified to planets being located within particular solar systems, quadrants, nebulae, etc. Like in that case, should you scan a planet within a particular solar system, you could scan that system specifically to find all the planets within it, and if you have them all scanned, or own them all or something, you get some kind of production or defense perk.
