Instead of just a medal, how about reducing the cost for altering legion mission to 2 gp once you have received the medal.

I am sure people who have the medal are more inclined to drop 2 gp instead of 8.. and this would be a steadier stream of gp income from this module of the game..

+1
at 8GP / hr I'm not inclined to spend any more since I have the medal. If it were cheaper I would be willing to do it

I have to agree, there should be some more incentive to do it.
Then again, if the price is dropped to 2 GP per hour, this might stop more people from getting it. A well organized legion would just have a few people get the medal, then use those people to speed up every mission.
Though i can see it if it were dropped to 4.

Well, there is one way to get it to be both useful and encourage more people to get it(as opposed to focused few), thou not sure if it can be coded in.
reduce GP cost by 1 if one person in the legion have it.
reduce GP cost by 2 if 2 people in the legion have it.
3/4
4/8
5/16
6/32
Ofc, 64 is impossible so it stops there. if 32 people in legion have the medal, cost is 2 GP per pop. would really promote group effort on the matter(thou possibly focusing on a few person first so it gets reduced by 3-4 ASAP)

I don't think that would be too big a problem; if people want to spend their own GP in order to get the Medal, I don't see why a Legion would stop them (unless someone needed the time, of course). Sure, it would be cheaper for the players who already have it, but the GP isn't coming from the Legion but instead from the individuals, so it wouldn't make a difference to the Legion as a whole who drops the time.

EDIT: And the Eureka! and In Your Infinite Wisdom medals are already a lot easier to block your own legionmates on already, so it wouldn't be unprecedented.

How would you convince just those two to always speed up missions :) have everyone chip in and buy them facebook cards? and just for clarity I wasn't saying the entire legion would get the benefit of one person getting the medal .. only that person with the medal

Right now it's a short term boost in cash for Dan as people pay to get the medal. Then they will *never do it again.*

The money will dry up, apart from a trickle from the occasional new person that wants the medal.

If the payment gave a four-hour boost, it would be worth using even if you had the medal, and Dan would make more money.

Given that the missions are designed/meant to get more co-operation between all members of a Legion, any rewards from the medals should give a boost to everyone in the legion.

Rather than give a boost to one person, let "Watching the Clock" give a structure for the base that can be upgraded by others who obtain the medal, and as it reaches certain points let the gp cost to change the time decrease.

The Chronus Aperture
Special Size 2
Upkeep of 2.5 Billion a day
When built it's level 1, upgrades at -
Level 5 - gp cost to change time reduced to 6gp
Level 10 - gp cost to change time reduced to 4gp
Level 20 - gp cost to change time reduced to 2gp
To upgrade it you must be loyal to the Legion, obviously have "Watching the Clock", and for added loyalty fun obtain "Shared Adventures". The numbers above could be tweeked, or have additional base-related bonuses if it got higher than level 20. Thoughts?
