I like idea because it stop fluxing becoming as effective but there should be a chance it fails to find the planet.

You do realize that star chart purgers eventually become the only means of finding new planets. Since they are also planets that you previously had in your data base, they would also qualify as being "retreived" with this, and since you'll be getting rid of hundreds and hundreds of planets this way, guess which planets you'll be getting back with an artifact like this.

Fluxes are godly but extremely rare, which is part of the "cost" of them. Having this would weaken them even more.

then make this rarer but it would be a chance at getting a planet back that was fluxed

not the amount you charge but the likly hood it will be drawn from however much it costs say a terraforming device i have pulled one after 80ish levels of making sure i dont draw artifacts if its under 4500 points this is what we call extremly rare this is about the same for flux i think just make it less likely to be pulled

I don't like this idea. The flux are rather rare and this is just something that takes away any power from it. The way you find a planet that was fluxed is to hope it comes back up in your scans. Flux just takes it out of your scans it doesn't cloak it from you forever.

It's a bad idea. When you think about it, how many planets have been removed from your database because they were fluxed? Very few. So, with one of these artifacts, it'll make the chances of finding it once again extremely high. There is a reason the planet was fluxed
